So wait guys, did they say if they will offer the codes after launch for a few bucks later on? I'd like to get some of this stuff, like the collector's armor and gun and stuff like that but I just can't afford the game atm.

Just get them, worse case is that you waste a few kb of hard drive space until you get it. Actually worse case is that Microsoft realizes the problem and takes them down, but either way, you don't really loose anything by grabbing them.
Do you think you can get in trouble for downloading all of that?
Worst case scenario, they'll just delete the content of everyone who got their shit without codes. I think something similar happened with Gears 2.
For reference, I was one of the lucky ones who got the All Fronts Collection for Gears 2 a month early for half price. They let me keep it.
This is yet another reason to be annoyed that the PC version of ME2 isn't using GFW Live. Not only do we not get achievements, but we don't get to take advantage of Microsoft's fuckups! Boo!

Is there by chance a side-by-side video comparison of the 360 and PC (maxed out) version?
Just...considering my options while I still have a day left.
I haven't seen any side-by-side comparisons, but they have footage of both versions out. And during the live feed Q&A, this question was also brought up. From what I've seen of the game and from what they've also said, the two are very, very close graphically. Personally, outside of the interface I couldn't really tell which version was which. The graphics are fantastic in both.
And as far as performance, they've apparently eliminated the slowdown and pop-in on the Xbox 360 version, so that's nothing you should be concerned about. I wouldn't be surprised if load times are faster on PC, but you can install to your 360's hard drive.
Really, just get it for the version you have saves for or for the entertainment area you feel more comfortable in. I have a big HDTV, nice speakers, and a comfortable couch. ME2 is a cinematic game and I want to play it on the biggest TV, with the best sound, and on the nicest place for my ass.

Shouldn't the PC version have much better loading times? I swear, it's faster to walk all the way to the medical station fast transit station than turn around and use the elevator to c-sec, and that's one of the faster elevators.
I'm kinda surprised the Recon Hood was a Dr.Pepper incentive seemingly. It seems too cool to leave out and they had it in the Normandy/Exploration video.

Well, I suppose an upside is that you can wear it from the beginning of the game at least.

Seriously, this should be limed and repeated like a hundred times.
I've seen people in the threads for other multiplatform games lately drive themselves nuts trying to figure out which is "best." Talk about a mug's game. Unless it's like a Ghostbusters/Splinter Cell thing where the different versions are in fact different games, just get the one you want to get based on where you'd like to play it.
Also, if there was a multiplayer component to ME2, speculating the best platform might be worth a few posts of discussion, but seeing as ME lacks and multiplayer, it's really just whatever you will be most comfortable with.
Seeing as I don't have a TV, I will be buying on PC.

Now I don't have to harass Gamestop employees on Tuesday.
Probably the Cerberus Network Day 1 stuff.
Nope, but I was already signed into it earlier.
That would be pretty sweet.
Sounds like something that would cost money, though.
(I hope the content is rendered unusable so I lose the temptation to get the 360 version now).

holy shit holy shit
I called my friend to tell him and he's doing it now and hyperventilating over the phone
Looking at the item descriptions, I'm not sad I went DLC whore and bought the Dr. Pepper. Those things have some quality buffs on them.
You return and loot the King's armor off of his still warm corpse :winky:

Or in this case...(REAL SPOILER)
Sigh, no one cares that he died. Not even me

Don't feel bad. Have you seen the box art for the regular edition? Hideous. I would've paid an extra ten bucks just for the new case & art alone!
I'm a sucker for those tin cases.
Basically. That's why I bought my CE edition. That and the artbook so I can look at the purdies.

Dude, what are they gonna do? Walk into a small claims court and tell the judge that advertising and providing a product gratis is actually theft?
Amen. The Collectors Edition has some mighty sexy boxart.

I haven't seen ME1 dip below 50fps once in my box that I built last year with a little over $1,000.
It isn't that hard folks.

High?
MS can't delete shit from your hard drive
100% if you unhook your ethernet cable and leave it off until you beat the game.
Really though I don't think there's anything to worry about.
Decent I would say. The recommended specs are not incredibly high.
