Ok fuck the art book that comes with the collector's edition, cause it's spoilers the shit out of some things, don't read/look at it all till your near the end of the game.
Really? Thanks for the heads up, that's pretty lame if true.

You could pay for next day, and still get it Thursday. If its one thing I've learned about Amazon, they don't give a fuck which shipping you've selected. They'll send you your shit when they're good and ready.

Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.
Can i just ask, if you get the downloadable shit, can you play it whilst offline? Can someone check this for me? I would be most thankful, and willing to pay.......in trouser kisses.

Is this a common occurrence for people? I tend to always get it release day (I'm a prime member so I'm betting that factors in).

I've always gotten it on Release date with the Release Date Delivery, its free with prime too.

naw gamestop and i went for the free 5-10 day shipping because i was feeling poor
Btw, anyone else who ordered it off Amazon. Is there a code in one of these emails for the preorder bonus or does something come with the package or does the game just know to give me my iron man armor automatically?
Also, yay "in transit" in my city... Boo not getting home till 8pm
That's nice but I have other things I need to/would rather spend money on than a giant overpriced harddrive.
Worst part is that it isn't even that big.
As a major silly goose, I have over 1gt used for fallout 3 saves, had that much used on oblivion saves and 10+ games installed + lot of rockband stuff. I'd kill for a 1 terabyte hard drive for 360.
If I'd get a Mass effect 2 on 360 it would probably take 1Gt saves again

With Dragon Age they emailed me the preorder codes like 4 days after I got the game, had beaten it, and no longer needed the codes.

Did you get it on PC or 360? On the 360 I had the codes for the Blood Dragon armor and the Shale content included in the box. Or do you mean Collector's Edition stuff (because I only got the standard edition of DA).

Ok I entered my Network code at the bioware social site thing and now it's not letting me activate it in-game, I swear to god there better not be any more of that DA:O bullshit with getting your pre-order shit.

damn is 120 the highest for the 360? that's kind of lame considering how many people install most of their games now
Unless you spent a pile on the Modern Warfare 2 special edition one. That had a 240GB I think.

Earlier in this thread there was a quote entered from Bioware. I guess they are looking into an issue regarding that. The guy said he entered the code in game without issue but people were commenting on the same problem you mentioned.
here is what was posted:
I just cracked open a new game myself which I bought in Edmonton tonight. I did register my code in game and Cerberus activated fine. I know that doesn't help those of you experiencing issues, but we will figure it out and have the information posted as a sticky as soon as we have more.
Any information you can provide on where you purchased from and how you activated would be much appreciated.
Its almost 3am here. Thanks for letting us know how things are working out for you, good/bad and will keep you posted.

Yeah. I ordered MGS4 a while back with standard shipping, took about 3 weeks to get it. Thank god I had a Prime trial account and got the Release Date Delivery for ME2.

Yeah...those HDDs are a rip...but I was getting tired of having my HDD at 1GB for the last year and a half.
Just went up to Gamestop and got a used 120 for $100 dollars. I still felt ripped, but better than giving Microsoft money for that bullshit.
I played ME1 so long ago I can't even remember the plot or the decisions my character made. Would make much sense bringing in the same character?
Also, I don't remember the name of the class I played but the class specialized in sniper rifles. It wasn't very effective... are sniper rifles more useful in ME2?

ME2 apparently gives you a bit of a refresher on your decisions.
And how dare you insult the almighty sniper rifle wielding infiltrator!

When your choosing a save to bring over, it reminds you of the major decisions you made on that save.
The class you were playing was Infiltrator, it wasn't very effective because you should have been using pistols which absolutely dominate in ME1. And you can repick your class and appearance even with a character you bring over. So you can bring over your infiltrator and play it as a different class in ME2.

You can review your choices when importing a character.
I can't answer for sure but it looks like there increased the combat range a bit in two, so sniper rifles may be a bit more useful. The good thing is those sniper classes can also use submachine guns now.

Yes, bringing in the same character makes sense.
And yes, sniper rifles are much more useful in ME2. The combat has been much... uh, improved and streamlined and polished and all that jazz, so sniper rifles are much more like assault rifles now. Whereas in ME1 they were kinda only for outdoors sniping and you had to contend with lots of scope drift built in, ME2 allows you to snipe really steady and the scope actually works for medium range combat. Hell, you can even shoot no-scope, which would've been absolute lunacy in ME1.
Mind you, I personally didn't have any issue with sniper rifles in ME1, but yea, you'll definitely like em in ME2.
Also... you can change your class when you import your save. So it's not even an issue.
The only problem with the ME2 sniper rifle is that you're constantly gonna run out of heat sinks because of how enjoyable sniping is.
Anyone having trouble with their Cerberus network cards?
I activated mine on the me2 page, and it acceptd..but it when I load the game I don't have access and it demands the code, which it won't accept because i entered it on the ME2 site.

The "Free DLC" debacle from yesterday. Does that DLC work?

i have to wait till thursday
it just left lexington kentucky
Yes, it seems to work fine. Doesn't show up on your DLC menu ingame, but you can equip and use the actual items.
Someone mentioned it doesn't show up in the in-game DLC list, but it does work. You go to your armory and it's all there.
Edit: Beaten! Damnation!
