Doesn't SF4 take place immediately after SF2 which took place like, and 3S is like before SF2 or something?
3S is 10 years after II, which is like 2 months in Capcom years.
EDIT: Ouch, Gen's MK hands got nerfed. Can't follow it up with another MK hands...
Sadness.
Yeah, the only news I've heard about Super so far that really lets me down. Though, it's possible that his links and such make him strong enough that mk to hands was overkill or something. We will have to see. No invuln on EX-Ooga also makes no sense to me.
Welcome to the big, wide world of random and nonsensical fighting game balance tweaks. It's been like that for years, doesn't seem like it'll stop anytime soon.
I'm going to definitely give all the new characters a shake but part of me has a strong feeling that I'm going to end up sticking with Blanka. I'm definitely eyeing Ibuki, Juri and Deejay the most though as a potential new character.
Also dudley's ultra II... corkscrew cross? Combination of corkscrew blow and cross counter? Counter ultra?
I just hope the delay between console and PC isn't as long as it was with regular SF4.
I just hope we don't get the shaft, has there been any official word on a PC version?
It would be killer if there was no delay, considering the PC version was an afterthought previously.
I mean, they start life on the PC no? SF4 did anyway.

Did Capcom actually start selling unlock for Alt Costume for PC?
They don't really seem to care much bout PC it seems.
*points to RE5 without any DLC for PC
Which reminds me - what's Cody getting for his music? All the other characters in that new character trailer a while back had their theme playing (Dee Jay's didn't have the melody but it's pretty obvious he'll have his SSF2 theme), but Cody's definitely isn't the one from Alpha 3. Is it something from Final Fight?

The alt costumes were made available on PC a little less than a month after the release of the PC version.
I'm remaining optimistic about PC version. There have been multiple cases of Capcom not announcing the PC version until after the console version is out and I think that was the case with SF4.

Isn't that the hack?
No. Start up the GFWL client. Complete Alternate Costume Pack for 1000 points. There were some people who somehow used them before they got released, though.

Ah thanks.
I hope it's transferable for SSF4 for PC.
I've been considering getting a pad or a stick for SSF4, and although I can readily see how a stick is used I can't really picture how to use the pad. Although my experience so far has been with a keyboard, it's at least slightly similar to a stick if only in that the six buttons are laid out in principally the same way. With a pad, I can't imagine how I could reliably perform EX moves or hit LK+MK+HK all at once. Is there a visual guide as to how to play using a pad? Clearly there are lots of extremely good players who do use a pad, but all the visual guides I've found have been for the stick rather than the pad. :?

Yeah, everything from Capcom Japan comes out on PC a while after console releases. They've been doing this for a few years now, and I can't think of a single counter-example.
No, as in, came out on the 360 (with a terrible port to the wii) but never on PC.
Then maybe my post was confusing. What I was trying to say is if Capcom Japan decides to bring a game on a console to the PC in the west, it always comes out a while after the console version. They don't do simultaneous releases, at least up to this point in time.
Yes it was. Time will tell if they actually release it though. They haven't said anything about the PC version since the initial announcement.
The again, its not being developed solely by Capcom Japan. It's actually being created by a Canadian studio with help from members of the original Dead Rising staff.

Anyone want to beta read a paranormal mystery novella? Here's your chance.

Just saying.
It wouldn't be Makoto without it.

I noticed that as well. Really hope they didn't turn it into a super/ultra

At the bottom right just above tanden renki super or something.
I really don't see why they wouldn't include it.
Bonus combo vid.

I hope they're comboable in SOME way.
I really hope they get to retain some of their chain combos. I can't wait to smack down some Rog fools with the old "ONE TWO THREE!"

Oh man, please, I really hope there's still a PC ver

I seriously hope they don't rape these in the remixes.
Especially dudley.
I don't actually like makoto's theme all that much.

oh man dash punch doesn't focus break? Sadness.
Ah well. Move was mostly use for combo ending anyway.
his SF3/2I theme instead.
Feels like it lends itself to mixing a bit more.

According to keno (the guy with a preview build) apparently ibuki and dudley are sagat level.
Excellent. No one will bitch about me playing makoto then. ^_^
Not that you can determine tiers this early of course. :P
Probably bullshit but we'll see!
Eh... I *guess* I'll try surfing DeviantArt. Wish me luck...
Actually, don't go to danbooru. It's like walking through a landmine field.
Don't give up the tager.
Ahahaha oh god I hope this is true.
Safebooru is Danbooru with a work safe filter, so its down too.
Tager's just going to be taking a break until CS gets a US console release. SSFIV is the current hotness.
Check out Omar Dogan's work on Dev. Art. He's from Udon and he loves him some Ibuki.
Yeah, I probably have no right to say anything.
Makoto hype!
I'd be ok with that. Blanka is a dick.

Man, when Super comes out its gonna be Ibuki's SA2 Ultra all day, errday.
Ah thanks.

Also there are PPP and KKK buttons.
But what of EX moves?
Plus it's not really that hard to press 2 buttons with one thumb.
Get a stick anyway.

Is Dead Rising on the PC? I thought it was 360 and wii only.

We need a new gimmick character since Dan is actually not terrible.
