In the recent Rocky Balboa scene I loved how Rocky lectured his son about his self-esteem. Gotta remember those lines if I ever have kids.
[spoiler:6db4fbc381]Rocky Balboa: Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that! [/spoiler:6db4fbc381]
If we're talking TV Shows, hell, go ahead and throw the entirety of AD in there - excepting maybe the MR F storyline (although the climax to that, with the mole, is one of the funniest scenes for me).
Star Wars Episode III, when Anakin is lying defeated and fucked up, screaming on the edge of a lava flow, and Obi-Wan is just standing over him.
Anakin: [shouting] I hate you!
Obi-Wan: You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you.
And you realize, a Jedi is forbidden to love and you think of everything they've been through. Yeesh.
Also, yeah, Band of Brothers. Fuck David Schwimmer.
Kung Fu Hustle. Christ. When the Axe Gang first shows up and the woman and child are being drenched in gasoline? The music fits perfectly. And the leader just flicks his lighter and with a shrug, tosses it at the helpless two. Then, a hand snaps out, grabs the lighter and calmly closes it. Coolie. I light up whenever I see this and the fight scene that follows.
Also, Freaks and Geeks. Almost the entire series is notable for having excellent scenes.
Ok, since we're on the subject of best television scenes... My favorite is from Babylon 5 when Sheridan is betrayed by a brain-washed Garibaldi on Mars. Sheridan tries to fight his way out after being drugged and then is ultimately captured.
Tobias: My schedule, however, is as open as my relationship with my wife, so, why don’t we pair up? And-and hit the town together!
Buster: Oh.
Tobias: I’ll be your wingman. Even if it means me taking a chubby, I will suck it up!
Michael: Well, that’s enough family stuff for today.
Ahh, Kung Fu Hustle. I like the scene where the guy is thrown out the window and is face down in the pavement, not moving, with a flower pot thrown on his head. Some kid comes up and pokes him and he impatiently tell him "go away."

I guess for scenes that get me a little saddened by the strength of the emotion within them:
1. Last scene in "A Perfect World"
2. Fight scene in "The Last Samurai" you know the bit.
3. "Saving Private Ryan" Bridge scene. [realspoiler:f279240d5d]when Tom Hanks character dies[/realspoiler:f279240d5d]
4. A very weird one, but a part of the film I actually liked, "M:I 3"
[realspoiler:f279240d5d]when the wife gets killed infront of him, the look on his face is good acting and realy got me the first time i saw it. Spoiled by the fact that she was still alive and that he lived in the end though.[/realspoiler:f279240d5d]

The scene with the musician guys was the best fight scene ever.
Also, I just saw Kiss Kiss-Bang Bang.
So awesome. How does Val Kilmer do this and a terrible Batman movie?
I love when he gets his head punched into the floor, then feeble hits his attacker with a stick.
I must have re wound to see that at least a hundred times.
Or in the end when [spoiler:83c1cdc4f4]Stephen Chow busts a HUGE hand-shaped crater around "The Beast". First time I saw that I was like "OH GOD AWESOME!" Then my gf practically chewed my finger off when the remains of his shirt came off, exposing his clean, ripped physique.
This isn't over Stephen Chow.

I love the scene in Reservoir Dogs when
[spoiler:7aa8518ba7]Mr. Orange is rehearsing his part as Mr. Orange with that black dude. And the tense atmosphere in the car when he gets picked up and they're talking about the waitress.[/spoiler:7aa8518ba7]

[spoiler:7aa8518ba7]Schofield Kid: [crying] Jesus Christ. It don't seem real. How he's dead. How he ain't gonna breathe again, ever. Or the other one, neither. And all on account of pulling a trigger.

Schofield Kid: [regaining composure] Well, I guess he had it comin'.
Will: [pause] We all have it coming, kid.[/spoiler:7aa8518ba7]
Also, also, just about everything from every Miyazaki film ever made. Or Studio Ghibli, for that matter. Anybody else seen Whisper of the Heart?

Leonard Shelby: My wife...
Natalie: That's sweet.
Leonard Shelby: ...dying. [/spoiler:e4cfad1b45]

My favorite Jackie Chan fight scene is the 2 versus 1 rooftop scene in Who Am I?. Good choreography and pretty damn funny as well.
2. Fight scene in "The Last Samurai" you know the bit.
...I was crying with laughter by that point
Were you laughing at the fact that he could throw a sword really really accurately? That bit made me laugh and then I went into
[spoiler:b608d4650b]chinaman gonna die[/spoiler:b608d4650b]

I found the movie boring, patronising, completely unbelievable and I did not care for any of the characters.

funniest scene in arrested development season 3, decided by me and my friend last week (die hard fans of the show since the first episode, still is hard to even talk about it :-))
damn I'm bad at exact quotes apparently.
something like
Tobias: I'm in love with someone
Michael: ... who?
Tobias: Michael
Michael: well, I'm flattered but...
Tobias: No, not YOU Michael, girl Michael. Funny that your mind went there though
It's perfect ebcause TObias seems to not even realize Michael is a boy's name, being surpirised by the confusion, and yet he calls the woman named Michael "Girl Michael"
when he interrogates the guard in the very beginning. it's intense as hell. also, when he interrogates the guy outside the bar:
[spoiler:5cf737ee04]"aaahhh!! you broke my fucking arm!"
*CRACK*
"no, now it's broken. where's the girl? where's the girl? you- get out your knife. cut his eye out. you're damn right i'm serious."[/spoiler:5cf737ee04]

I still say that "What about macaroni, let me finish... salad," is my favorite moment from that show. Gob looks so satisfied after coming up with that answer that I can't help but laugh every time.
Hmmm. So many good monologues that have struck a chord within me. And scenes. And characters. So many reasons, so much fun.
American Psycho - the final monologue from the film
Jaws - Quint's speech about the U.S.S. Indianapolis
Conan the Barbarian - you know the one speech
Big Trouble in Little China - Anything that Jack Burton says, ever
Shaun of the Dead - Pretty much the entire flick
Hero - Oh God the cinematography was gorgeous
Unleashed - probably the most visceral fight scenes I've ever seen outside of UFC
That's all for now; fun movies with great moments. I'd have to spoiler some of the artsy stuff I used to watch and I'm not in the mood to write a treatise on something that only two people will read.
Any of Bateman's diatribes on pop music could easily top the final monologue, awesome as it was.
A scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark comes to mind.
Indy finally takes control of the truck carrying the Ark out of Cairo. Then, there's that look of sheer, badass determination before he uses that massive old Mercedes to swipe Belloq's car off the road.
Then to top it all off, the instant the music recedes, and the chase appears to be over, Indy at once seems to acknowledge how much pain he's in, wincing and covering his bullet wound, as though he'd been too busy to do so beforehand.
The fight scene between Brad and Brendan in Brick is pretty cool. So quick and to the point. Oh, and the bit in Dark City, near the end, when Kiefer Sutherland's character finally does something useful, the whole memory sequence there is cool.
Oh yeah, I just thought of another one. From Superman Returns. Two words: "Now fly".
"Attica! Attica!" from Dog Day Afternoon was very memorable.
In Temple of Doom the classic bit where Indy rolls under the stone door and his hat falls off, then he reaches under the door and grabs it from the other side. So awesome and characteristic of him. (Did they do this in Raiders as well? I can't remember.)
Speaking of Raiders of the Lost Ark, the scene where he shoots the guy with the swords always gets a chuckle.
The opening credits of Reservoir Dogs, with Little Green Bag playing. Also, the scene where Mr. Pink and Mr. White start fighting with each other, then Mr. White poses over Mr. Pink, aiming his gun like a bad ass. Mr. Pink lying on his back, aiming his gun up half feebly. Then the camera pans back to reveal Mr. Blonde leaning on a pole, drinking a soda. This scene is amazing because it perfectly captures the spirit of each character, and introduces post-robbery Mr. Blonde after all the talk about how insane he is.
Speaking of Reservoir Dogs, Mr. Blonde's death scene (and what leads up to it) is amazing. It is the most tense, visceral, upsetting, gratifying scene in a film. And then it's all undone minutes later when the cop gets shot anyway, and the viewer realizes that they knew all along there was no chance for him.
I'm going to get verbally smacked around for this one, but ...
In The Village, where Joaquin Phoenix is stabbed. It is totally silent, you don't see it happen, and he doesn't make a noise. He just makes a slightly confused face, and looks down to see the knife in his stomach, being slowly removed.
I also like the scene earlier where the blind girl asks him if he will dance with her on their wedding night. The entire speech that follows if fantastic.
I think I'm the only person who really likes that movie.

George Oscar 'Gob' Bluth: To be with your brother?

Also, "Is anyone here a Marine Biologist?" and George's description of saving the whale from that episode of Seinfeld.

Igor: What hump?
Dr. Fronkensteen: ... let's go!
Tobias: My schedule, however, is as open as my relationship with my wife, so, why don’t we pair up? And-and hit the town together!
Buster: Oh.
Tobias: I’ll be your wingman. Even if it means me taking a chubby, I will suck it up!

I can easily just think of this scene and laugh.

In fact, the entire last half hour of that movie is gold.

The last fight scene in Kill Bill, with the spanish guitar playing.
