    5. Olgaf
    6. Nedroid Picture Diary
    7. 8-Bit Theater (I know, I know, I like a sprite comic, I'm sub-human)

I have been following 8-bit since it started, and I wasn't even in High school. It's not like I can quit now.

It's not even a question of liking it or not at this point, it is just something that I do.

Heh, yeah that's pretty much my story as well.

what is crazy is that 8-bit is pretty bad, but his actual comic, Atomic Robo, is pretty good.

I admit, I do read xkcd because once in awhile he does have something funny or inspiring.

    Other than that I read:

    PA
    PVP
Wapsi Square (not sure why, but I can't not click on it)

I read Goats, Hark! A Vagrant and PvP pretty regularly (and F Chords but Straub isn't updating it anymore :(), but the only comic I really make a point to read every update is PA

    so I voted for xkcd

xkcd is the new Dilbert. I have started seeing it posted in paper form on professors' doors and in peoples' cubicles around NASA. If it ends up winning I won't be surprised, especially considering the type of audience who reads the Washington Post.

That list is really terrible. Hark a Vagrant, PA, and PBF are the only halfway decent ones on there and PBF hasn't been active in over a year. They left out a bunch of good ones and included some that are just mind-numbingly terrible.

"I think xkcd is the best because of its innovation: roll-over text to provide a second punchline to each strip, online forums for fans to discuss the strip or whatever else, and perhaps most of all, the real world meet-ups between fans. I am simply unaware of a single comic EVER that has inspired so many Live Action events (comic BOOKS sure, but a daily or weekly strip? No way.) Personally, I prefer continuing storyline strips (Girls With Sling Shots, Questionable Content, Legend of Bill.) But xkcd uses the internet to actually transform the way readers experience the comic: it's not just a funny or edgy strip scanned and posted. xkcd has really created something different, which is why I rank it "The Best" of the past decade. (On a personal note: Michael, what are the chances of getting an interview with Randall? I have SUCH a nerd crush on him.)"

Hurrrrggg this must be what brain cancer feels like. I was considering just fakeposting this straight but I couldn't do it.

The running joke with my coworkers who read xkcd is that whenever he gets on a string of comics about relationships or girls or dating or whatever is when he's seeing someone, and when it falls back to more math/internet/science stuff is when he's single.
