My fiance and I are getting married on June 19th in Chicago, and its in all going to be pretty small and short, only running from 2-530pm really. After everything we wanted to go out with friend and any family that wanted to come along, so figuring between 20-40 people (20-ish being the most likely).
We were hoping to find a good place to go where we could just get some food, some drinks, and watch the Saturday night Fireworks. I have called a couple places I came across from searching, but they seem to want me to rent out a room, and make it like a full $4000 reception.
No.
Just want something small where we can see fireworks and talk to each other. But I am from Michigan and am now in Kansas, and my experience with Chicago is a weekend trip a couple years ago. So if anyone who has been there, or is from there, has any suggestions on good places that might have a view of the fireworks, let me know.
Also, I honestly am not set on seeing the Fireworks, if you just know of a really cool place to go on a Saturday night that might fit that many people, would love to hear that as well.
Thanks!

The dates/times for the Navy Pier shows is here. Saturday shows are at 10:15pm, and really the only place to see it is at Navy Pier. They've got a Beer Garden. You can rent it out too; no idea on rates, etc., but now might still be a good time.
