Man what do you expect when that thing happens and then you're all like WHOA and then you pull out your heavy weapon and shoot and the enemy is all like WHOA then the chicks are all on your dick like WHOA.

You gotta talk about that stuff.

Speaking of Samara.. last convo I had with her
She told me its a good thing I made her swear an oath, and she'll be forced to kill me once she's released. Anybody get a better response than that?

O_O The hell did you do to her?

Nothing, really. I can't recall doing anything really renegade after that.. I did still use only red dialog options. Maybe that was enough.
edit: you can make it worse by
demanding that she sleep with you. I didn't have the balls to pick that option, though

So, what's the general opinion regarding Vanguards in ME 2? Are they as badass as they were in ME 1 or did they lose a lot of punch since you need to drop enemies shields and armor now?

Man, there should be an achievement worth 500 Xbox live or whatever-points for staying faithful to Liara. Forget that, Bioware should pay me like $500 for doing it.

So, it seems that Vanguard is a late bloomer? I was thinking once I'm done with ME1 as a Vanguard that maybe I should go Sentinel then unless they tweak some stuff in a patch for Vanguards. What would a good extra power be for a Sentinel (since shotguns are out of the question)? I thought maybe go Assault and just murder everything.

Also, it didn't take long, but someone managed to unlock all the DLC already. Downside, piracy. Upside, those of us that didn't want to go through the Gamestop hassle or bought it digitally can have a blackhole gun. Also, it opens the possibility for user made content, although it would be difficult.

Okay guys, don't spoil anything TOO MUCH but I just have to know. Not too big of a spoiler, it comes from the first time you meet the collectors:
My love interest was Ashley from the first game. It had a huge emotional impact on me and how I played the game - absolutely fantastic.

That said, I didn't expect the conversation to go the way it did. Please tell me that's the only option I had - and that I'll see her again on the Citadel.

If that's all I get of my Ash I'm gonna be really pissed.

This game is amazing, but there are a couple of real boneheaded decisions along the way.

Like... what is up with the stupid ass "Press B to end the mission" prompt along the bottom of the screen? I just got done with this quest, but I'm talking to NPCs about the conclusion to said quest, and the subtitles are all covered by this big fat dumb "Press B to end the mission" prompt. Seriously, I can find my way back to the Normandy, I don't need this fucking prompt. It's exasperating. It's down there all the time, it's somehow flashing gold... like it's not already getting my attention just by being there onscreen. What is going on here? I'll leave when I'm damn well ready to leave. There are NPCs which have dialogue about the conclusion to the quest, there is content to be had. Their subtitles are getting covered up by the stupid prompt. It's very very annoying.

QA doesn't give two shits, they've got to ship the game on two platforms at a set date, and the goal is to not have the main character charge and clip into the wall.

The PC version is all kinds of broken, I had to pry into the game's asshole just to get it to run.

What exactly did you have to do? It just worked for me. (Well... The digital download unlocker got screwed up, but that's because EA didn't QA the unlocker, and it fixing it was just editting a text file.)

On a PC note though: Does anyone else feel that ME2 is actually loading SLOWER than ME1? It take a couple of minutes for me to use the elevator on the Normandy (except to go to my room.)

Harbinger wanted Shepard for some reason, they attacked his ship at the start, attacked it again later and took the crew and even during their full assault Harbinger is calling for them to try and preserve Shepards body. I think (unless stated elsewhere) they may have been wanting to use Shepard to give non-Transformer sentience to it, perhaps all Reapers were once mortal beings converted to be used for the cause.

Yeah I thought Charge (I call it the 'Flying V' since it matches the waterfowl theme around here) was useless until I leveled up a bit.

    Party Ability Spoilers
Garrus' ammo mod is awesome for shotguns. As a Champion I can spam Heavy Charge quickly to keep my shields up and just wreck house with the shottie. 2-shotting Krogan is good times.

Anybody encounter any annoying or hilarious glitches?

I got exploded through a locked door once early on and I was stuck back there (in an area I'd already been through that was now off-limits) so I had to restart. Not too big of deal, but it was kind of funny. I was standing right next to the door when a rocket hit me in the face and then suddenly I was inside the door and I couldn't get back out. Eventually I wiggled free...but to the wrong side of the door.

Do the mission to get Samara for a new shotgun.

Later on during a main quest mission you will be able to either gain a new weapon to be trained in or get an improved version of one you already have. This is how you can get yet another improved shotgun.
