Xbox 360 Update Today Did What?

Any idea what the update did to the 360's that came out today?

Skills for kills, Agent. Skills for kills.

    Every place is surprisingly quiet about it. I think it may have been more for bug-fixing or maintenance, because if it added new features, you can be sure it'd be all over the normal PR channels.

    Either that, or it's for some super-secret new features that will be announced at CES.

    No, because the Dashboard will not prompt you to download a BC update on startup - it's only if and when you place an Xbox 1 disc in the tray.

    But don't worry about the update - it's not uncommon for the Dash to get a quickie update just before a new patch or major DLC. Odds are, this update does nothing for the user.

    It disconnected me from Live and forced me to wait a while and then restard.


    I'd say that affected me.

    Gears drops a new patch and some more multiplayer content today aand tomorrow, but...

    I didn't say it wouldn't affect you. I said it will do nothing for you - you aren't going to have some new bells and whistles on your dash. This is background stuff.

    Every time the dash updates I hold my breath and wonder "Is THIS going to be the update that bricks my system?"

    Making it through Dash Updates is kinda like a rite or passage for 360 owners. :P
