I went a little overboard today. I was only going to pick up my preoder of 3DDGH...
But HMV was having a buy-2-for-$25 deal, and I've always wanted Doomsday on Bluray (it's Mad Max, if Max were a really, really gorgeous British lady and the apocalypse sort-of happened in Scotland), and Sean of the Dead for ten bucks more was too good to pass up.
...and I've wanted to get myself a new copy of Perfect Blue ever since I sold it to my little brother in a moment of weakness - though twenty five bucks there was a bit of a burn. And then...
Got a Wii. Finally, I guess.
At $209, it's the exact same price as the vanilla Wii bundle, but I was able to up-trade the copy of Wii Sports Resort for Galaxy, putting Galaxy's price at $20. Which is a sweet deal.
Finally, I'll be able to play Muramasa: The Demon Blade ... next paycheque, when I'll be able to afford the Classic Controller.

Tried a little bit of Mario Galaxy. No complaints thus far.
Couldn't resist trying Muramasa with the nunchuck/wiimote controls - a little fiddly without a classic controller, but that game is pure sex. I don't care what Vanillaware does next, I want it.

I have also picked up 3D Dot Game Heroes and I have proof!
Also pictured is Animal Crossing: Wild World which I got for $12 at Gamestop thanks to it being half-off and using my Edge Card. (My only complaint is that it was in a GS Stock Box and not the original. Ah well.)

Hey, have you watched Paprika? If you're into Perfect Blue, Paprika was also directed by Satoshi Kon, and it's pretty awesome to see him develop as a filmmaker and animator. I really like it, anyway.
I totally forgot 3D DOT HEROES was coming out this month, so...I picked up the dustiest video game I have ever seen (Metal Gear Solid 3, it was literally so coated in dust you could not read what the game was) and Dragon Quest 8. I've already played MGS3 but I wanted to give it another go. Dragon Quest 8 is new, but having just played Dragon Quest V and realized what an amazing series it is, I had to pick it up. It comes in a real box! Because the bundled FF12 stuff takes up so much space.
I wanted to buy MGS3 Subsistence but it's like 100 dollars.

I don't know how much you care, but you could always buy a DS case from Nintendo, print a cover, and then also buy a manual from Nintendo.
Since the Final Fantasy 13 collector's edition was completely shitty, I expected Alan Wake to be of the same low standard. However, I was very pleasantly surprised:
I have a deadline tomorrow, so I told myself I wouldn't open it. Then I did it anyway just to have a look inside. Luckily, the game itself was shrink wrapped as well (saving my deadline, but screwing the planet with excessive plastic wrappings... oh, well... then again, I did buy an product that is sold for its excessive packaging).
Also, I had the urge to test my new camera.

Heard the proposition that RIAA and MPAA should join forces and form "Music And Film Industry Association"?

Edit: Here are the pickups I've made this last month:
Sorry for cell phone camera picture on the second.
Next week I'll have some srs pickups coming to me from woot and Amazon. Joy! And now that I've figured out how to make my cell cam play nice, I can even share pictures!

Well, when I said GS Stock box, I meant that it just has the GS standard slip in it, so I do have a DS case for it. (Even has the GBA slot) I was going to print a cover some time when I'm not being lazy about it, too. But I had no idea that I could buy a manual from Nintendo for it. What's the site for it? (I probably won't, as I don't really need it, but I'd like to at least look into it, because that's pretty neat.)
Since eobet stole my thunder, decided to just post outside pics. Wasn't planning on getting the special edition, but the guy working my local store done a good job persuading me. Pretty glad though, it's a classy collection.

Paranoia agent is the only satoshi kon series I've watched.
I really want an XL, but i can't justify the $200 price tag when the Wii is also the same price as well as they announced the 3DS already.
I can't quite decide if I want the XL or standard DSi.
I also want a PSP Go.
Maybe I just like gaming gadgets a bit too much.
Yeah the most im willing to buy is a DS Lite because its the only reasonably priced one. The others are too expensive for what they are in my opinion. As much as i want a DSi/XL they just are not worth the asking price.
I was saving up for either a 32 gb iTouch or iPhone, then I realised that all I really want from an iPod is to be able to play all my music and also that I really want an android phone.
Also, the battery meter is wonky as hell on this, but hey, 2nd hand.
The controller, to play Muramasa with. This is the first Zelda game I've bought in...
...hm. Since Link to the Past. I've played OoT, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, but the DS Zeldas didn't really ring my bell. I'm hugely looking forward to this. Too bad about my massive backlog.
Edit: new game, new pic.
Yay, more Dead Space!
Now I just need Mad World. And New Super Mario Bros Wii. ...and Galaxy 2.
But I'll worry about that later.

It still annoys me that they did the mirror image thing with that one. I would have liked it to line up with OOT.
Huh? Are you talking about how the Gamecube version of TP was mirrored compared to the Wii version? What about OOT?
As far as I remember, the locations of the desert and Lake Hylia match up in OoT and the GC version of TP, but because the Wii version of TP is mirrored it doesn't match.

Yeah, it was the Wii version that was mirrored. Instead of flipping Link's model, it was supposedly easier to mirror the entire game. They did that to coincide with the Wii remote, since most people would be playing with the remote in their right hand anyway.
