Holy Crud, TFU2 is coming that soon? I completely spaced on it.

But luckily I have Kirby's Epic Yarn's pre-order nearly paid off.

I'm not getting DJ but I didn't know Vegas was out =(

Creative day is just a reminder to try and do creative things; art, guitar, write. If I have a reminder I feel guilty if I don't do it since I can't claim I forgot =p

Solve that by making everyday creative day! :P

Also, I can forget most of the stuff in Oct, but I definitely want vanquish, Fallout new vegas and dj hero 2.

Guess which games come out on the same day?

    All 3 of them. :(

edit: not that I can get them all anyway, because of money and exams, but still. :P

Anti - I've been trying to do that but I turn into a bum sometimes. Usually the reminder will get me back on track and at the very least I'll get ONE day of productivity.

This is a shared calendar so I don't want everything on there (like the EQ expansion) but most stuff on every Tuesday of that month I want except Sims 3 =(

    Also, fixed =p

I have a great way of forcing you guys not to pick things up on release day (or to really shift your purchasing habits in order to accommodate the occasional day 1 pickup): It's a pricey, but effective multi-year rehabilitation program called "grad school." :P The plus side is that aside from VC2, I haven't paid full retail for a game in months.

DS releases have been winding down lately, and I barely have time for console games anymore, so the only games I can think that I really want this fall are the new Professor Layton, Etrian Odyssey 3 (which I had a coupon to get for $20) and possibly Rock Band 3 on 360 as a Christmas gift. My wife might actually enjoy playing DKC Returns, though, so I might grab that.

OK, slightly off topic, but how do I get in on this Subway PS3 thing? I went to frenzy.subwayfreshbuzz.com, logged in, copied some random codes that were posted in this thread, put the peppers on squares, and came up with nothing. Played 3 times. Did I just not get lucky, or is it possible that the codes posted in here were already used and therefore invalid?

Do people only play codes that they personally get from Subway, or do the ones found on the internet work also? I only eat there once a week, and I don't think I order the right thing, because I've never gotten a code.

You know what I mean, the exceptions are few and far between and most are predictable. It's why I laugh at the whole gaming is expensive thing and the whining over £50 RRP for HD games. You just wait a few weeks and one online retailer will be selling it for £15. Couple that with all the fantastic downloadable games (and the sales of those on Steam/PSN/XBL) and gaming has never been cheaper. You can pick up buckets of games on a small budget if you exhibit a bit of patience.

So that huge block of fall releases? Almost all of those will be on sale for a third or less of the RRP by the end of January. No need to sink a few hundred pounds just to play them a month or two early.

This is the case in Europe anyway, ymmv elsewhere!

There's a semi-high resolution version of the image on the internet without all the text if you want to get it printed.

Not nearly high enough for a decent print, I'd say. Besides, that ugly fucking foot completely ruins the image for me. Disgusting foot. Look at that big toe.

No, I agree with that. Gaming is only expensive as you make it. Usually the older, cheaper games are better anyway. Halo Reach was the first full priced game I've bought for a couple years now, and that's only because I'm a huge Halo fan. My rule is usually wait until it's 30 dollars or below to buy.

Eh, enough places near me have release day discounts, upwards for 20% - 30% sometimes, that make me happy enough to grab games on day 1. I can't remember the last day 1 game I bought at full price.

Totally. That's one of the best 30-45 minutes in gaming.

Shame about the ending, though. But lately I've been chipping away at a fourth play through GoWIII, and every time I switch over from Valkyria Chronicles 2 and play another half hour or hour of God of War, it's just... phenomenal. It's a phenomenal game.
