i beat her on my first try but i was literally one love tap away from death, so i restarted and did it again
I found out your equips stay on during that fight.
I put on Gaze of Despair and she quit blocking. Then I shot her until she started shooting back I dodged that and wait for her to snap and dodged the weave .
then I kick her ass.
Of course the first time I was not aware of that and yes I got my ass kicked several times.
Wait wait wait.
She stops blocking if you taunt her? I thought she became immune to hit stun when taunted?
All I know is I tested this extensively while farming for halos and without the Gaze she's a fucking bullet blocking Ninja once it's on she ignores your gunfire and just attacks. From there you lock her into the fire dodge bullets dodge weave blast her shit wide open pattern.

Whoever came up with the bossfight with the turrets, that person should be slapped in the face
Whoever came up with the"jump onto rapidly disappearing tiles that activate based on your proximity and will suddenly disappear on you for no fucking reason, oh yeah and let's make it on the side of a wall so if you fuck up you have to start all over again from the bottom" deserves to be fucked in the mouth until death

The dodge button still works, even when you're in the turret seat. You can even get witch time off his projectiles. Once you know that, it's really not that bad at all.

The tiles are timed. Wait and observe their pattern.

Apparently Bayonetta reached an agreement and will be in Marvel vs Capcom 3.

You can stunlock him (except for two huge easily dodgeable attacks) until he dies and never have to deal with any of his green rockets.
Here is how you do it:
You can mash the firing button to shoot considerably faster than the autofire allows.
If you mash as fast as humanly possible while shooting at his face, he ends up being completely stunlocked and cannot ever actually get enough time out of his "Halp I have been shot in the face and shall fall backwards like a pillock for fifteen seconds" animation to shoot the green rockets at you.
Once you know this, he is the easiest boss in the game as long as you can shoot straight. The only thing you ever need to dodge is his big random laser (which you can mash moon khala to counter) and his big hugely telegraphed punch (which you only need to get out of the way of well before it lands).

I need to work on my ability to punch that button stupid fast. I thought I was punching it pretty stupid fast, but obviously it should be way stupid faster.

Well you have to predict his movements to make sure that every shot is hitting him. You can't let him move, notice it's not hitting him in the face but bouncing off, and then reaim, because you'll have wasted too many shots.
So you gotta be actively repositioning your aiming so he's got a constant stream of shots to the face.

IMO I find gracious and glorious quite easy once you have the handle on how they move. Fairness and Fearless however get dominated one fight then randomly spooge on you. It's odd.

On higher difficulties they cut out quite a lot of the frames from the telegraphs of their attacks.
Like their lunging snap. Normally this has quite a few frames of them crouching and shifting their mass to leap. Whereas on nsic they basically just leap and you have to be psychic and expect it more than see it.
Note that if you are close to one, back forward kick (the stomp) always stuns them, even if you don't have enough energy for a weave. You can combine this with legs kilgore to do damage to them even if you have no magic energy. Every third or fourth one will be a proper weave as well.
When I'm down to one fucknuckle doggie (or two close together) I will usually do this because fuck them.

I deliberately stopped using it myself.
Well....I mean...if I happen to have durga on my feet and kilgore on my legs on the other set and you know, the mood strikes me, I might you know switch just once.
Because it is a cool glitch. Armageddon on your feet!
But I wanted to improve my skill without it. The default kilgore kick mash is strong enough anyway.
However I really don't like how hard it is to find detailed advice from players about how to deal with x creature, boss, thing, etc. Or even detailed weapon advice. Because any such search has to sift through ten million people saying "man just do the kilgore glitch it's easier that way".
I don't wanna have it easy!

Hehe it doesn't work on NSIC anyway. They counter the kicks.

Sai-fon is totally not busted. It does barely any damage, you need to make up for it with a good leg weapon.
It gives you a good measure of control, but you still need to be able to control your movements with dodgeoffset, especially dodging into panther form mid combo or to reposition yourself.
And sai-fon wont stop white G&G from countering your leg kicks in ppppk.
It's really cool, but it does take time to master.

So guess who's LTTP?!
Anyways, how the hell you get good at this game? There's so many damn button combinations and the timing is pissing me off.
How do you get good at Hard? The dodging isn't holding up.
Dodge. Everywhere. Constantly. Like, do 3 moves MAX, dodge.
Also if you don't already have it get the doubletap RB move, that saves your ass hardcore
Also also also never go into a fight with a full magic bar. Use torture attacks as much as you can, if you can't spam doubletap RB
To expound: Dodge offset. Everywhere. Constantly.
Hard is also the point where it starts becoming necessary to learn move properties. Which hits and special attacks stun/knockdown/ground/juggle which enemies and in which situations. Especially since enemies that are immune to witch time start popping up regularly.

One very very useful trick in hard + is dodgeoffset into panther form. Just double tap your dodge instead of single tap. I use this in fights to corner evasive opponents without cancelling my combo, to reposition myself away from a mass in between strikes or to unleash something big on them and to move from comboing one enemy to a higher priority enemy who has shown up in the middle.
An example of this positioning is pppkkk. In the air, do ppp(dodgeoffset into panther, sprint over to an enemy, trip them with the kicks.)
If you panther dodge for all three kicks you can disable at least 3 different angels in one combo. two trips and the final weave will send them flying backwards. If you have fire durga on your feet, you get three free bombs against enemies like joys, G&G, etc because after you trip them or weave them they are stunned long enough for the bomb to come out.
Another example is, say, ppppp with sai-fon. Sometimes I start comboing an enemy E like this where B is bayonetta.
E<-B
Suddenly some more enemies come up behind me.
E<-B E E
I either do a couple of dodge offsets or panther dodge over to the other side of the first enemy.
B->E E E
And then I finish the combo and do the aoe weave at the end, hitting all the enemies.
Panther dodge is so useful for moving around in combat. I'm tempted to make a vid showing what I mean and how I use it. Setting up the camera is a pain. Does anybody want a demo or have I explained it well enough?

at least they're not fairness and fearless
those two are way more obnoxious for me to fight
Fuck those guys too
fairness and fearless are those twin lion things
unlike grace and glory, they hardly ever flinch and most of their attacks have almost no windup, so they dole out and take hits a lot better

Practice witch timing, literally, do not try and hit the enemies only dodge their attacks to activate Witch Time.
Once you mastered that you are now good at the game (on normal mode at least).
I made a game, it has penguins in it. It's pay what you like on Gumroad.

Is there a half decent toturial on the game mechanics somewhere?
Man, I can barely handle the confirmed cast as it is. If Bayonetta is in it would blow my mind
