No, i tried jailbreaking it and it went into recovery mode. The "only" way to get out of it is to restore it, but that's not true. I know there used to be a few ways to do it, though they probably changed it with the new versions (like holding both buttons until it powers on then holding menu button for 5 secs, or using iRecovery or something). Cmon, someone should know what I'm talking about.
Wouldn't the site you got the jailbraiking info from have an 'oh shit' page?
Honestly if you tried jailbreaking it and it won't come out of recovery, it's probably because it no longer has functional software and will need a clean slate to get working again.
