It used to not recognize games every once in a long while. Now it does it more often and now freezes in-game. *sigh*

All the gen 3+4 starters are at least UU. Also what was said about looks for gen 2: they all look like ass.
Also any adamant/jolly/timid/modest/bold dittos would be appreciated
Cresselia is a [removed in case I get an infraction]
No silly goose.
Cresselia is a silly goose, though.
I thought it was automatic.

new original Pokemon RPG from GameFreak is undevelopment for DS now
the game is planned to be released within this year
and there is only an announcement for the new Pokemon
no official name (subtitle) or other details yet
I don't think it's automatic, but if tube sees you, you feel his wrath.
I'm guessing that the each version is going to be named after a metal again. Iron/Steel, or something.
Or will I finally get that Pokemon: Tungsten that I've been holding out for?
I'm guessing you gleaned about as much info as was there, but can anyone translate any other factoids in those articles?
Also, this seems like a really short announcement -> release time frame, and kind of soon after HGSS.
Now the people that said there wouldn't be a fifth gen can SHUT THE FUCK UP.
I mean just look at it recently. 2003 was RS, 2004(ish) had FR/LG, 2005 had Emerald, 2006 had Diamond, 2008 had Platinum, 2009 had HG/SS.
Does it have to be more powerful?
Besides. The pokedex entries are based on myth and the research of the gameworld's nutty ass professors. Not exactly reliable information.
Or maybe you'll battle and capture the entire universe inside a Master Ball.

New generation? Are we talking about another potential metagame shift?
This year for japan, next year for USA?
Or the starters.
Personally, I'd like to see some kind of Electric/Poison hybrid. It'd be a snake that looks like a lightning bolt.
And Farfetch'd needs an evolution. He'd have samurai regalia made out of woven reeds, and he'd be dual-wielding onions.
And I'd like to see OU become a little more robust.
Next year for us in the states.
Almost no new moves last gen, very few dual types, very little move variety on most members.
Person wanted a translation of the key points, from the silly squiggly mess that is Japanese. Those are the highlights.
Heck as far as these articles are concerned there is no English version at all!
Seriously: Almost all the Electic moves are "damage + chance of paralyze". And that's it.
Well, there is stuff like Charge, or moves with a little bit of extra effect variety, like Charge Beam, but still.
I'd like to see stuff like... say, a hyperfast railgun-like move that hits first, or a magnetic repulsion attack that forces a switch, or something new.
And again: lighting snake. Make it happen.
I'm pulling for Ghost and Dragon evolutions, myself.
or there might be none like in gen 3.
How about a Ghost-type (Sprion or something. his body would dissolve into ghostly whispy tail about halfway down) and a Flying-type (Angeon or something. Pure white, streamlined, feathery, and with freaking HUGE white, angel-like bird wings.)?
I kid, might be a good idea. Opens up a whole new can of ideas for 'mons.
I dunno though: the type matchups seem to be pretty OK at the moment; Dark and Steel balanced out the game-ruling Psychic type, and I'm a tad worried that shaking up the types again might cause another breakout type to appear.
Then again... Poison doesn't supereffect nearly enough stuff, and it might be time for Electric to have a new weakness.
Those tiers are mostly based on usage though. The most used pokemon, gathered I THINK from Shoddy Battle data, taken at Smogon, are OU.
I think this is the set up:
Uber: Pokemon that warp the OU metagame; essentially, the "OU ban list"
Overused (OU): The pokemon that statistically appear on a certain (high, I have no idea what) percentage of teams.
Borderline (BL): Pokemon that warp the UU metagame, but couldn't cut it in OU. The "UU ban list."
Underused (UU): Pokemon that statistically appear on a marginal percent of teams.
Never used (NU): Pokemon that statistically appear on very few teams.
Not fully evolved (NFE): Pretty self explanatory. I think the occasional NFE sneaks into higher tiers. For example, Chansey is UU, despite Blissey being the next step in the evolutionary chain.
I don't think these lists are official or anything; I think that a bunch of people on Smogon put a lot of time, energy, and words into developing this system, and try to maintain it with periodic updates based on shifts in usage and strategy.
Might be an interesting pokemon ability though. Changes all fire type moves to water or something. But there's no way it would go general.
A fifth move might be an interesting idea.
And can you imagine the rapeage that would ensue if, say, a Water/Grass type 'mon used a Water/Grass type move on a Ground/Rock type 'mon?
That's... too much STAB for me to work out, and an... 8x damage from supereffectives alone?
