Oh, forgot to reply. 20 minutes from now (45 minutes from them) is cool.

I don't think there's anything wrong with having an interest in that sorta thing, BugBoy. An interest in any sorta thing (as long as it doesn't involve hurting anyone) is fine, really. It's people that take anything to obsessive extremes that are always the problem.

No, seriously, I'm not a furry.

Not that I have anything against it, but I just don't want people to get the wrong idea.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled Pokemon.

So, I realize this is very late, but some posts have been about stuff people (don't) want to see in future games.

I too would love to see the HM's go away. Or at the very least, allow certain moves to duplicate them. I don't see why I'd need to Cut down a tree when I have Pokemon that know Slash, Fury Cutter, etc. which could conceivably perform the same function.

What does everyone think about a Pokemon never forgetting moves? That is, it keeps all the moves it learned as it gains experience?

But you can't use moves out of battle without badges, so it's moot when you get the HMs themselves.

Edit: I don't recall punching a baby, what's up with this karma.

Rings:That would make for a very cluttered and complicated battle system. Four moves is usually enough for variety. Unless you mean that they keep all their moves and you can just choose four at any given time. That would be great.

Again, Sand Veil. Bit upset that it knocked Oblivious out, though thinking on it, I didn't bring a single steel type that could sponge a hit.

    Same teams I suppose.

Edit: I'm not 100% on evasion math, so, my guess is a 90% accuracy attack has a 65% chance to hit against Sand Veil? Or maybe 67.5%? Either way, 3 misses whilst Hypnosis connects is a reasonably low occurrence. Sorry if it seems like I lost my composure.

Oh, don't worry about it. I didn't think you were getting mad or anything - but yeah, only firing one Hypnosis off for a hit is pretty lucky.

I don't know, but it wants leftovers since it's such a bulky poke. With roost+leftovers you can outheal any damage they can put on you outside something like a cb stone edge from tyranitar.

But you can't use moves out of battle without badges, so it's moot when you get the HMs themselves.

Munkus: I realize that, but also, what silence said about the badges. So, HM's are moot for that purpose.

Though moves like Surf are definitely useful.

Bugboy: I was actually going for them knowing all their moves, like an RPG spellcaster knows all their spells, but yes that would require a lot of rework. (Don't the Pokes on the TV show break this four-move rule anyway?) Though your suggestion also has merit, but... Then you'd train a Poke to be good at a certain thing, and thus make the other choices a little less useful in the grand scheme of things.

In any case, it's a pipe dream of mine. But I still really hate HM's. :P

Speaking of which... I've gotten my 4th badge in Platinum, and only have Cut, Rock Smash, and Fly. Am I missing an HM yet?

If you've got the time and patience to grow a whole bunch of berries, you shouldn't have any trouble. Just grow a bunch of those "reduce STAT" berries and dose them out as necessary.

Especially with the Emerald cloning glitch, once you have one rare berry just keep duplicating it and Pal Park them over.

Fights are so much more INTERESTING without Stealth Rock, you can use so many more Pokemanz.

Also, I need to field a team of OUs sometime. I think I have two OU, two BL, one UU and one NU on this team.

That was definitely not me. Strong green signal throughout.

How many HP did your Scizor have after that hit? I couldn't even see a pixel!

    Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, Kay. After all that...

Edit: Not me, 3 bars as well.

I disagree Re: Stealth Rock, it just makes different pokemon and strategies better/worse.

Edit2: It had 5 hit points. I figured Bullet punch could take 50% out easy, so of course you'd switch, thus making pursuit the right choice.

Anyway, If you want to try again, that was a lot of fun, lots of thinking and switching. Though VERY FAST TAUNTS are probably the thing I like least.

I'm not sure what berries have to do with levelling. Just give them the appropriate EVs, get the ribbon from sunnyshore and level them until they learn the desired move.
