I'm honestly surprised at how many people tend to forget this. My experience with others that play this seems to point out that they don't actively care about the things like IVs (Even I fall into this one), keep the starter and a pack of legendaries, and so forth.
Fire Fire type. Especially hot.

What was Game Freak thinking?
Dratini line
Larvitar line
Bagon line (Beldum line too? Trapinch line? Fuck they like their trios this generation)
Gible line (though it has odd Pokedex placing)
So that's Dragon/Flying, Dark/Rock, Dragon/Flying deux, Dragon/Ground a couple times ...
Would a Dragon/Dark be too overpowered? Sure there's Giratina but maybe something OU but not Uber ... I dunno. And I think that certain pokes should get new types ... it worked for Magnemite, and isn't he the ONLY poke with a new type change? And they were backwards-compatible. Maybe make the Bagon line Dragon/Dark. I dunno.
3DS FC: 4699-5714-8940 Playing Pokemon, add me! Ho, SATAN!
That's true to an extent but then there's the kids who started ten years ago who are now still actively playing. The Training items and even Battle Fronteir are clearly designed for older players. I think Pokemon is one of the rare franchises that can cater to both it's fanbases.
Tell me about it. I was constructing my ideal team in Pearl, but quit before completion. Hopefully, this will get me back into the game 8-)

Where in the world does this Meteoric Swarm move come from?
If Serebii is to be believed, nothing learns it.
I've certainly never seen it.
And yet it exists?

Tethys (my Kingdra) would also like a word with you. Also, Nerdgasmic's Blackthorn. (Which is Tethys' brother.) I think some other siblings are out there, and God only knows how many Starmie-spawn I've thrown around here.

You're right though, Pokemon does bridge the age gap very well.
It does let me log on to WiFi, as well as GTS.. My Wii can connect wirelessly and plays games/downloads VC games just fine. Same distance, same router.. So maybe I'm just missing something simple?
:^: This is me as well. I plan on getting back into it when I have a bit more free time, and when I eventually do some battling, I'm going to look at strategies and use that team-building page and plan my moves and stuff, but I'm also going to use Pokemon that I like. And I'm going to get a freaking Bulbasaur early on. Maybe I'll pick up Platinum and start from there, even though I never really finished Pearl. It's so hard to jump back into it mid-game!
Kingdra is held back by average stats. If it was a 600 bst dragon that thing would be uber so fast it would make garchomp's head spin.
It is flooded with people asking for asinine things.
We are not surprised. It's always been like that.
Not that I've ever done that.
I had much more luck putting my Pokemon up for reasonable trades. It took me no more than an hour to get the other two starters by trading the children of my Monferno. Of course, that was when I first got Diamond. People may have grown disillusioned since then.
Of course, you're much better off just asking here.
Taking down Munkus is gonna be harder than I thought.
Suppose that you get one that totally looks legit, but it isn't? Enter a Nintendo event and they will surely strike you down.
There is a program that lets you find out if a poké is hacked or not, but lately, it has been really off diagnosing. Legit Pokés from my Emerald that were trade to my JP LeafGreen and pal parked to my SoulSilver appear in that program as having been tinkered with a hacking program.
And some hackers are so good that you could never tell if a poké they made is hacked.
It's really not that hard if you just copy every little detail of the official event Pokemon in question (say, a Manaphy with a particular ribbon caught so-and-so at level so-and-so with the specific moves, etc.). It's undetectable because they are for all intents and purposes exactly the same as official ones, because they are essentially made in the same way. It sucks for players who want to play fair but there really is nothing much that can be done about it.
