does gabe have some sort of condition where he can't stand to have any one of his characters have the same skin color throughout a whole strip
do you have some sort of condition where you are rude.
it's cool they don't read the forums
I mean photoshop or whatever has a color dropper or whatever thing right?
it's not like it's hard to keep things colored the same way
you don't even use color rane-e-a-DOS!
i like this comic and found it funny, someone would have to be very silly geese to have missed the continuity from the last comic with that guy and the dick sucking over a product that has since launched, and is less than people had hoped for.
The only possible reason I can accept for not liking/getting this comic is if you love the iPad and want to have like a million babies with it.
There's another possible reason. It's difficult to edit.
I only have one idea, but it's a) an obscure reference that few would get, b) very time-consuming, and c) very high probability it wouldn't look right even if I could finish it.
That, and I haven't slept all night. Don't have an iPhone either. My first reaction to the iPad announcement is: sounds expensive.

Apple is probably trying to trick people into buying some other product by comparing it to a crappier, more expensive product. They've done it before, I think.
He was last seen getting hired to help Tycho play Super Mario Galaxy. Didn't have anything to do with Apple in that strip other than having a Mac shirt that flipped its logo.

Or that there are a billion other people talking about the iPad and cracking wise about it. What's next, Leno/Conan jokes? ME2 drops and we get the second Apple strip in a week?
The strip is fine. There is some funny. But they have been on fire this year with strips, and this is the least excellent strip of the year. Maaaaaybe tied with "A Review of the Preview" (which was also fine). It's certainly no Best Punchlines, Moby Dick, Fundamental Assertions, or Gwaihir.
well since we all know that Charles never really existed outside of Tycho's drunken mind (as evidenced by the fact that only someone who has known Gabe for that long could penetrate his cocky shield of bright yellow confidence), we can then logically assume that this comic is a window into the mounting pressure of Tycho's every day life. He is slipping, people. Falling off the wagon (or climbing on to the liquor wagon, I forget). Much like fight club, we are seeing clips of Tycho as "Charles Durden" if you will (ho ho ho), painting us the picture of the expertly executed ruse we were meant to be falling for all along.
With this in mind, I feel we should take a voyage down the linguistic master touch that is the audiphiable hand (or palm) slap. Contextualized by the motion round the axis of Tycho's lower-
Which leads me back to pondering Tycho's hair color. Is it naturally black with brown dye, naturally brown with black die, or does it sprout from his scalp already two-tone, not unlike that of a lemur?

from what I remember Gabe saying it's supposed to be like this
brown because of the light, dark shadows on the bottom, dustin hoffman in the middle
although now it's just two-tone because gabe likes to draw it like that
Nope, not that funny. At least not compared to part 1... or most of their other work entirely. I don't say this too often about anything, but I feel like they really did phone this one in. There's nothing special about the art, the writing or the humor. Why end on such a bland line? Why not something like, "I wish I knew how to quit you!"
Anyways, more adventures of Gabe attempts to draw the characters' profiles. Although I like that he gave Tycho a really flat chin in the first frame, he still looks really wonky. I understand he's supposed to be slouching, but damn, he's got NO neck at all? It's like his head is growing straight out of his shoulders. He also looks like a bobble-head, where as his head from the usual 3-quarter angle doesn't look overly big.
At first I was worried that they were attempting to introduce this "Trevor" as a new regular to the comic by using his name, but then I realized it was to show that him and Tycho have been having a relationship. Whew. Because this Trevor character is drawn super-bland. Maybe that's from only seeing him mostly in profile, but he just lacks the... character, that most of Gabes characters have (usually shown straight on or at a 3-quarter angle.
Looking at Tycho in every other PA comic you would assume that his forehead is just as long and flat as the rest of his face, not to mention his hair seems to cover it from all angles. But in this comic, his hair juts out to reveal a gigantic bulge for a forehead. He looks like he took the special classes in school if you know what I mean.
I don't understand why people are so fucking critical of a comic for which they don't pay.
well there could be a couple of reasons
once something achieves a certain status, gains enough street cred if you will, there is a tendency to attract people who want to analyze it more in depth to take a full accounting of all its nuances and subtleties in order to better appreciate it
or sometimes they do it because it makes them feel super intellectual and astute
or there are silly geese who put it down to make themselves feel better somehow

You guys start my day off with so much stupid.
I just come here to see clever edits of the new comic.
I'm leaving. Disappointed. Again.

Are we paying you to make excuses?
No, we are paying you for edits.
Now get to work.

EDIT: Now I get it. Ignore my previous statement.

guess he just became redundant once tycho realized he loves apple

oh, hey Pony
Some sort of comic?
BLEH
probably one of my favorites.
tycho's head is definitely sloping back inwards
that's when it was getting all tall and flat, the good old days of tycho longface
soon he'll look like year 2 tycho again

This is very funny

This particular sub forum spends an awfully large amount of time in "Introduction to Philosophy and Analysis" mode.

I'm not sure what payment has to do with artistic criticism.
Do you have to purchase the right to have an opinion on art?
If I go the National Gallery in DC, do I have to be overwhelmingly positive about every piece there because there's no entry fee?
