Happy: LK-10 down. Haven't enjoyed a kill like that since taking down Algalon recently, and even then I like this fight much more.
Grats! It's one of my favorite fights right now too. I think any fight with that many phases and that amount of personal responsibility to do the right things at the right times becomes really fun once everything just clicks with everyone.
Oh, and related happy... LK25 down for me

Happy: We finally spent a good night working on LK-10. It's looking like next raid night will be a kill.
Sad: we holding the ID so no chance for the spyglass
NotsurewhatIwillgetmyselfinto: Gonna try to gather interest for weekend 25 Yogg0. After a quick look the title for Death's Demise is still up for grabs on our server. To my knowledge no one been working on it, BUT if i can't get a majority from the 25m raid to come for a couple hours on the weekend I ain't gonna waste my time on it.
happy: Went in and one shot BQL last night. That makes the second wing boss we've killed for the first time after only 2 learning wipes. (To be fair to Prof P., we 3 shot him our very first time, then spent 2 weeks failing to kill him again somehow. This week was our second kill, and only a 1shot due to the 5% buff helping us scrape by.)
Hate: Sindragosa holy crap. Phase 3 (or 2? the sub 35% part) is fucking annoying with only 2 healers. We got her to 800k, 600k, and 300k on our last shot.

Hate: It's been a while since I've seen a healcott. Today I was in Auchindoun Crypts and our paladin tank gave everyone kings. About halfway through the shaman healer asked for wisdom and never got it. He said "i get wisdom or you all die"
Double Silly Goose Shaman since Talented Mana Totem overwrites wisdom.
Unless the Shaman was healing as Elemental or Enhancement.
I have to ask for kings on my Shaman, all the pallies throw wisdom on me.
Why would you ever plant Mana Spring as a resto shaman? Healing Stream is the way to go, even better if you get the glyph. I like out-damaging the dps in heroics.
Because I'm usually not the only mana user in the group. And my Glyph slots are filled with Earth Shield and Chain Heal, and later on, Riptide.

addendum: we almost had an awesome kill on our second to last attempt. Our offtank DCed about 5 seconds after the pull. I peeked around Frost Tombs trying to heal him up enough to survive the ice bombs without killing myself, and just as the one that would have killed him dropped, it finally removed his toon from the game. Then, about 20 seconds after that air phase he finally was able to log back in.

Grats to you as well.
Definitely agree, once everything clicks the execution portion of finishing the LK fight is extremely rewarding. As an additional good feeling bonus, no one needed a battle rez on our kill. Means we all got our jobs done the right way with precise execution.
On the other hand: I'll probably just stop showing up to the main raid and do GDKP runs instead. Being 8/12 isn't so disappointing when you bank 7k gold per raid.
It was interesting last night someone started a 10 man TOC run as we get ready to start it the Leader said this was a gdkp run
It fell apart so quick it was not even funny
Usually when GDKP runs are done the intent is to do an instance worth spending gold in.
I could see people doing ToC as GDKP as an alternative to heroic grinding, but bids would be pretty damn low.
edit: Hell, that new guild that transferred to my server tried to get a ToGC25 GDKP run going, and the tank shield dropped off the first boss and went for 100g. Then the group fell apart after wiping on Jaraxus.
I think they underestimated the crappiness of PUGs on my server.
So there I am on my mage, he has a lot of stuff bought with Triumph emblems, H-UK is the destination and we start off with the tank marking a skull on one of the two mobs at the top of the stairs, I think cool this should be easy it is only UK.
He then pulls everything in that hallway and I figure I can AoE and since he was confident enough to pull the hallway he could hold aggro on all of the stuff he just pulled.
Silly me, half way through my blizzard I had 3 things beating on me and I wasn't quick enough on the iceblock.(I haven't played the mage in a couple weeks.) I get rezzed and we start moving. While fighting the healer has been opening bodies, which I have grown used to and actually prefer to waiting until after a fight is done. Tank decides to take issue with it, healer say something back and the tank drops group. Healer starts bitching about how slow the tank was, hunter leaves group. Less then 5 minutes later new tank and dps join us. Healer comments that he hopes this tank isn't slower then molasses in the winter, new tank decides to chain pull. He doesn't hold aggro on everything and the healer gets smushed by an elite in the first pack after the first boss, healer is running back and the tank keeps pulling. Which had me chuckling, the healer now doesn't have enough time to get mana back and the tank doesn't give a shit he just keeps going. Tank heads to the final boss with 4 or 5 trash mobs on him still, healer couldn't keep up at all. After the laugh I got from the situation I didn't mind eating a 13g repair bill.
I pretty much witnessed a perfect storm of idiocy yesterday in heroic HoL. Your story about the uppity healer remided me. Tank was a bad ass Warrior. Top form. He was chain pulling, and it was going great. DPS was retarded though. I swear the fuckers get the welded to the ground debuff and decide to run all over the damn place. We down the last group before the boss, healer sits to drink up, since he was close to OOM from healing the tarded DPS. Now it gets interesting. Healer, while drinking, face pulls the first boss while the boss is charged. One shotted. Tank grabs him and starts doin his stuff. At this point I'm like.. meh its over. Then I notice the tank isn't taking any damage. I blow trinkets and open up. The other DPS didn't last more than 20 seconds, since they got welded and killed their stupid selves. So yeah. Bad ass Warrior tanked the boss with no heals. While the boss was charged. I am in party chat /high fiving the tank for accomplishing a feat of total bad-assery, and the healer decides to point out that the tank popped his cooldowns in the wrong order and at the wrong stages of the fight, also informing us that his "main" is a Warrior. Good thing he added a emote smiley face after the comment, lest we get the wrong impression that this healer is a total asshole. WAIT. I whisper the tank basically saying "fuck that dude". Tank leaves group. Healer is all butthurt, saying the tank is fail, etc.
There's a wrong order for popping warrior tanking cooldowns? If the fight is over and the tank ain't dead, then whatever they did, they did right.

Before following any advice, opinions, or thoughts I may have expressed in the above post, be warned: I found Keven Costners "Waterworld" to be a very entertaining film.
The only thing i hate more in 5-mans than stupid tanks are healers that choose to harass the tank, and tell them that they are doing things wrong. Oddly enough, I've only seen healers do this.
Had a 5-man heroic HoS recently with a slightly undergeared tank which seemed to be going pretty smoothly except that the healer kept mouthing off. The healer kept commenting on how the tank was bad, not pulling fast enough, then not waiting for mana, not holding aggro, not using the correct rotation, etc. Granted... there were some aggro problems, but they were not the tank's fault, and the rest of the group was able to deal with them. Sometime after doing one of the optional bosses, someone initiated a vote kick for the tank. I voted 'no' on the kick, as i thought things were going fine. The other people apparently voted otherwise, and the tank got kicked. Rather than stay and continue through the rest of the instance with a different tank, I chose to leave.
If the healer was intent to be such a silly goose and kick the tank for no good reason, they didn't deserve my help speeding them through the instance either.

We actually ran into the "tank wiping the group and then leaving" thing last night. I queued with 3 other guildies on my mage and all we needed was a tank, the dungeon ended up being HCoS. He was quiet except for the automatic DBM updates for the roleplay, stood back for the first wave, let two DPS die, started just whacking mobs, then left the dungeon.
We still managed to get a new tank, run back, and beat the timer on the infinite corruptor.
Meh: Had some silly goose hunter (Twoshot - Gul'dan) misdirect the abomination from the front of the instance on me after we killed the last boss in UP. He ninjaed the epic belt and dropped group immediately after said MD.
So that was supposed to prove... you can misdirect an abomination on to a priest because you're cool? Oh no, I have to repair my cloth gear. Weh weh.
I don't really go off on tanks, though I may think it strongly. I was healing H VH the other night with this DK tank whose threat was just terrible. I'm not sure what he was doing wrong but there was a lot of it. And being VH, I couldn't even stop to try to offer any pointers. The biggest thing was a few times after the next portal opened, he'd just run to the middle of the room and spin around like he couldn't find it or something.
And last night I think it was, I got in to heal a H Nexus. Had a pally tank whom I noticed on the first couple of pulls that everyone was pulling off of. I went through the major checks and saw that she did have Righteous Fury on but was using Seal of Wisdom. So I went ahead and suggested she switch to Corruption. Around the first boss, or right after, I decided to ask if she knew what the 96969 rotation was, she didn't so I gave my quick explanation. And suggested she keep Divine Plea up as often as possible. No idea what glyphs she was using either.
After the Corruption change, her threat got quite a bit better, but after the 969 explanation, she seemed to get worse. She asked for a site so I pointed out Maintankadin. We finished the instance alright, but hopefully it helped.
It has been the second time or so I've helped out a pally tank while healing.
I will only complain to the tank if I am healing. Like the other night when I was healing a lv80 arms/fury warrior as he attempted to run his pal through normal UK. He started off as fury, grabbed those 2 mobs on the top of the stairs then went into the hallway and grabbed everything he could see. This resulted in a wipe. So I asked if he had tank gear, and he got mad. I made it a personal challenge to heal this silly goose. I wanted my 2 triumphs damn it!
Oh noes. You probably could've made it out the door.
Saving this for the silly goosery of it.
Abomination + hits for 10-15k a hit on cloth = oh yeah you could totally kite it the 100 yards to the door
I may be remembering incorrectly, but I don't think it hits harder than 5-6k on cloth.
Perhaps someone will test this. For science.
I already did test it last night, and I died in about 2 seconds as a ilvl251/264 clothy with inner fire up. May have been a string of lucky crits but I was dead as a doornail.
I remember it being hilarious to notice the upstairs dots on Sense Undead moving after people AoE'd post-usher trash, and then start running back towards the door without telling anyone why. Especially when only the aggroing AoE'er was still in combat.
Heh, I still remember the post opera trash and discovering the hard way that the sphere of damage from SoC went through the roof on the first level. It was a wipe but I couldn't stop laughing for the longest time.
Decide to try Dreamwalker, rather than Putricide or Princes, since it's supposed to be a pretty simple fight.

Happy: Less-Rabi, Share the Love and Doesn't Go to Eleven all in a single run with a great group!
Hate: Only missing ones that everyone else already has, so I can't get a group together for. Also, I've never even SEEN one random boss in VH that is keeping me from two achievements.
Hate: Also, was asked at the last minute to sit out my weekly 10-man so that others could get loot. I've been the top DPS every single fight, of every single week by a lot, and it's not because I'm getting all the loot....
Happy: Queued up for the random normal of the day, got in instantly to an in-progress CoS. 20 seconds later, the rest of the party kills Mal'Ganis and I get my 2 emblems and 19g. Hot.
Heh, I still remember the post opera trash and discovering the hard way that the sphere of damage from SoC went through the roof on the first level. It was a wipe but I couldn't stop laughing for the longest time.
Seed of Corruption used to utterly ignore all line of sight, it wasn't just that hallway. I remember speed clearing SFK on my warlock and getting attacked through the ceiling by the soldiers on top. I farmed mageweave by going to the pirate ships in Tanaris, seeding one or two pirates in the center level and hitting every pirate on the boat. And of course, pulling Maiden trash through the wall while mowing down some of the dancer packs between Maiden's hallway and the opera house in Kara.
Hate: That Blizzard managed to fuck up what could've been a fantastic daily quest in Thrusting Hodir's Spear. As far as I can tell, attempting to do it properly leads only to your own death.
HATE: Healing classes that forget they can use heals on themselves and others even if they aren't specced for it. RETard Pally got pissed at me for being too busy healing the shit out of the poorly geared tank to throw him some heals.
