Also, is it just me, or is Grunt's character model really good? I mean, I had been impressed with the graphics and everything, but when it had that first close up of Grunt's face in your storage hold, I was blown away. It looked great.

I seem to have run into a small bug where a quest thinks it's active when I've already completed it. The one where a Salarian on Omega asks me to pick up some packages. I got the packages, came back to Omega and chose the Paragon option. He leaves, but my assignment list tells me I've found both packages and need to talk to him .
Also, is there a good way to get more money? I'm trying to buy all the upgrades in stores and I've found myself like 200,000 credits short of this goal. I'm pretty sure I've completed all quest (outside of the suicide mission) and I'm mopping up any remaining planet quests now.
the animation and modeling and fluidity of movement all is a world above ME1.
Especially the Scientist Salarian segment
Well, that's the thing though. The aliens are still a lot more convincing than the humans since they're stylized and fictional. The humans are still pretty difficult to look at, not counting default shepard and maybe the elusive (illusive?) man.

When I first heard about ME 2, I actually kind of rolled my eyes when it looked like they were going for a "darker" and "grittier" setting. I was afraid it was going to suffer "Warrior Within"syndrome. But now that I've been playing through it, the mood actually fits very well. Really makes you realize how much Shepard's absence has changed the galaxy and the people whose lives he/she's affected.

Wrex pretty much had the best face in ME, Grunt has the best face in ME2... clear signs of Krogan favoritism among Bioware employees. Clearly they're anti-genophage madmen!
Honestly, the faces and facial animations were SO improved in ME2. I fucking loved it. Still a few weird faces, mostly on Joker and Miranda, but goddamn if the majority of it wasn't fantastic.
Not to mention the animations and the dynamic conversations!
[The hovercar ride to the Dantius Towers, which was touted by Bioware as an example of how dynamic their new conversation system was before release, was really a terrible example. Compared to shit like Aria's scenes or, my personal favorites, the conversations with Jack in the bottom of the ship, it seemed a little silly.

The hair of the human models makes this so much worse. Shepard's is buzzed so there is no problem, but when you see a hairline that is so obviously not integrated with the skin and so flat it really throws me off.

The only well of infinite money is betting on the Krogan dog pitfights. Which can net you, at best, 500 credits at a time, and I'm not sure how the mechanics of it work.
I'm still trying to finish up playing the first one before I dive into the second. I completed the first one using an Assault rifle but didn't get the "kill 150 enemies" achievement. I'm halfway through a 2nd playthrough, having completed both DLCs, and STILL didn't get it. Any way to track kills for those?
I also got this bug where Conrad things I put a gun in his face even though I told him to go home.
Same thing happened to me. But in Conrad's defense, he might not have been thinking straight after I got fed up with him and kneed him in the gut.
I got that same bug. No, wait, I shoved the gun in his lunatic face and it felt goood.
The result of the second encounter with Conrad is fantastic, though. I can't wait to see his appearance in ME3.
If he survived getting killed by Turians in ME1, he can survive falling off a bus in ME2. I get the feeling that his 'bugged' states are now a running joke.

Its why I wanted her and I to be able to have more of a mentor/mentee relationship, shes fucked up by a lifetime of betrayal and pain and I just wanna be her bud and give her a purpose again but the only way to fix any of the girls problems on the ship is to give them some Mass Effect. Samara shows you don't have to be able to bang them just because they're female, wish they'd held that philosophy for SuZe.

Just got to disc 2. I'm savoring every second of this game. Miranda and Zaeen are loyal now, and I'm going for a Miranda romance, since the idea of bedding Jack doesn't sit well with me, given her emotional trauma. And I'm largely Paragon.
I think Bioware was giving a wink to Giant Bomb with a lot of Grunt's dialogue. I mean, Wrex inspired "Shepard", but Grunt seems to take it to the next level.

Yeah I tried to be nice to her, as a Paragon and all. But when it got to that point I just want to be friends, now she's rude and doesn't even want to speak to me. Sorry but I got Miranda upstairs for the sex, and I have to fight Kelly off with a stick. Can't I just be friends with Jack? Apparently not. :?

Love. You can know all the math in the 'Verse, but take a boat in the air you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells ya she's hurtin' 'fore she keels. Makes her home.

This I didn't know. If you bet enough, you get to raise how much you bet from 250 credits to 500 credits? Cool.
Anyway, now that I beat the game I'm kind of in a stupor. What to do now? Everything pales in comparison!

Nope! Spoilered information on how to unlock secret bets.
Talk to the shopkeeper, go and kill a bunch of monkeys, and then go back to the shop. You can buy the monkey meat, which you then feed to the varren next to the shopkeeper. Then you can get the varren to fight, and since that varren is totally badass, you can put 500 credits down rather than 250.
Edit: The answer is obviously to play through ME2 again. I'm going to start an Adept playthrough tonight, I do believe. This time the council's going to be alive, though. Playing with them dead is just too close to the default state and screw the default state.

Play again to try to open as many possibilities up for ME3? I can't wait to see how they bridge the results of your actions over for the finale. ...your only other option is to freeze yourself in the arctic until its release date.

You know all things considered I wonder if you will...
Become a Spectre again? I even wonder if I want to be a Spectre anymore, I basically told them to shove it when they asked about it. The council has pretty much shown that they're willing to let themselves be blown to bits. I mean I don't like Cerberus at all and I plan to tell the Illusive man off...but at least we're getting stuff done.

That would be only dialogue complaint, unless you're willing to bone them or shoot htem down you can't further dialogue with them.
The council is a bunch of incompetent idiots, and if Shepard is forced to team up with them again in ME3, it'll be just as bad as being forced to work for Cerberus in ME2(which was RETARDED and fuck those guys.)
I'm just sad that I didn't get to... (ending spoilers)
shoot the Illusive Man in the face like fifty times. Using Reaper tech? No fucking thank you! Just look at what it did to your goddamn science team on that Reaper that was in fact DEAD!
EDIT: Regarding dialogue complaints, you think you guys have it bad? Femsheps just get shot down rudely or completely ignored without any chance to further dialogue/relationship even though it's obvious that there's unfinished business and character arcs going on.

If you save the council in ME1 they reinstate your Spectre status in 2 but tell you to stay in the Terminus system while you are working for Cerberus.
