Okay, does anyone know where I can get the cross-sectional dimensions of commonly used channels and other extruded shapes?

McMaster Carr, Look under materials then whatever metal. Aluminum/Steel probably has the most for channels and pipe.

I actually probably have a handout somewhere, but I'm too lazy to look for it.

Np. I actually found a material thickness chart with weight if you need specs on solid dimensional steel.

Hmm, so my old job emailed me back saying they might be hiring for a part time position in March. Though decision, I'm not sure how well I could survive on part time pay, but it would lead to a full time job I imagine...

My older sister and brother in law are an Harvard/MIT education dream team. I dont think that rule holds true.

My is doing a brother was doing a science degree and has now just gotten in to medical science. My course is harder to get in to, but his course would be considered 'better' by many. We both get fairly good grades.

We're completely different people, I don't think either of us is better.

EDIT: It's actually kind of strange. Me and my brother are in a lot of ways complete polar opposites.

How many of you just do art for a hobby? How many people here are seriously pursuing it as a career?

Well, they as a couple win out monetarily. We are pretty much polar opposites, but get along great. I'm pretty sure mom appreciates the contrast, but I think the whole family worries about me getting a job. A family of hard working government employees/teachers/broadcasters/successful programmers Is judging me from their secure jobs.

ddv, cant imagine doing anything else competently, So I'm going to do my best to pursue art

production is a hobby of mine. study of art/theory/technique/history is pretty serious. teaching is where my passion's at though. If I weren't training to become an art teacher, I'd be training to become a history teacher.

It's a hobby for me, though I would like to head into something more creative professionally, graphic design or something of similar ilk.

While ideally i'd like to end up doing concept art, I'm too old, in the wrong country and haven't the time needed to dedicate myself to it as completely as is required.
