I had to do that to a burer earlier, because the fucker kept swiping my weapons.
In Yantov
Vent facility: the game rewards exploration, and not everything happens inside the designated circle. Extra hint:
It looks like all you get from him is
It appears there aren't many things like this you have to do before going to freeplay, but if anyone wants a know the point of no return until freeplay kicks in:
I don't see anything on my map though, closest thing was that antenna place where I gassed all the bloodsuckers earlier.
Whoa whoa whoa
That's really possible? Do you have to try stabbing while sprinting or something?
'cause man, that's messed up.
Now playing: Teardown and Baldur's Gate 3 (co-op)
Sunday Spotlight: Horror Tales: The Wine
Heres where I'm at if it helps:
Just finished up at the Unfinished Plant in the Dark Valley, now trying to find the Lab there.
Here is what I'm running:
Windows XP 32 Bit
CF'd 4850s
Q6600
When it started I scoured Google and found nothing, tried reinstalling and it still happens. Also updated V-card drivers, to no effect. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated, I just want to get back to Stalkin'.
Do other save games work? I can't help much other than say that the Zone is powerful, and can fuck with you in ways beyond hurting your character. Worst case, uninstall and reinstall everything (saving save games) might be worth a shot.
Someone should do something similar with the Sarah Palin hand note pictures.
All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.
I don't know if it was the unpatched version or whatever but if you look down at the ground and used the second stab animation, the one with the knife thrusting down you would occasionally start to bleed out.
You could
Speaking of which, all the cutscenes with legs and feet attempting to turn are really funny looking.
Also anyone get the feeling that Stalker through to Call of Pripyat were all intended to be one game?
Oh yeah, I brought it.
Also regards the ending/sequel
Pripyat has called.
All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.
I may even try to finish it someday.
....and by "finish" I mean...get like halfway through.
Love that game, but goddamn it is frustrating sometimes.
Way to go, Viva Media. Way to go.
Boooooooooooo.
It's funny that it's the collector's edition though. They didn't give me the choice of a non-collector's edition and it was still $40!
Seriously, get Call of Pripyat. Everyone who loved the idea of SoC, but never had the patience to get through it or whatever; CoP is the perfect remedy.
I just got the Fallout 3 GOTY and I can't afford to buy any more games until Just Cause 2 comes out. SHIT. fuck.
It might be, it's the one
I think I'm ready to put CoP to bed. I spoiled the last few quests to make sure I was able to find them all, except I think I may have missed one or two due to things I did on the first map. Still 100 caches and lots of achievements to find, but I'm pretty satisfied that I've seen all the high points. Cool stuff, love all the guns and wandering around in freeplay. Time to do Mass Effect 2 though.
We should try to get a multiplayer game going sometime. There's only a few servers and they're always in Russia. Not the most exciting thing in the world but it's fun for a little while.
Following the path of those rods was so incredibly nerve-wracking, because I was just basically hoping whoever'd made that initial path had done so as, y'know, a way through the mine field. The dead guy didn't help my confidence.
Seeing stuff like that as just part of the world always makes me feel good.
Oh look, there's a downstairs! Nothing was upstairs so nothing should be downstairs.
What are those glowing eyes in that doorway????
There were two bloodsuckers in there. I blew though 75% of my ammo and there wasn't anything in the damn building worth getting.
I hope that wasn't a spoiler.
Nope, no spoilers there
More than a few times in SoC I swear I heard or saw something and unloaded. Then I'd proceed to jump around corners and unload just expecting something to be there. Nothing there. Jump around next corner and unload, nothing. Repeat, repeat, repeat, until I have to pause the game and go for a walk before my heart explodes from the stress!
