For reasons that need not be addressed (though they make me want to strangle someone I know) I've been shoe-horned into using RapidShare to download a series of files.
It's taking forever with the limits they place on the free account. I'm tempted to bite the bullet and purchase a 30-day premium account, if only to mitigate my suffering.
What I want to know is if their account purchasing and registration is on the up and up. I notice their payment is in Euros. Are there any pitfalls, perils, or scams I should be aware of? Or is as simple as they make it sound?

it's legit if you purchase through the Rapidshare site or links listed on the site.

I forget if I used paypal or not, but I know the price was automatically converted into USD and I just paid with a debit card. I then setup a user/pass (or they assigned me one, I don't really remember :P), and then after the month was up it just expired. No hassle, no nothing.
It's totally worth it if you need to do a ton of downloads. But as Echo mentioned there are ways of automating the waits. I know there's a Firefox extension that'll can do that stuff too (I don't know the name off hand, but I know it's one of the most popular Firefox extensions).
