Finally finished reading all the Kyle/Yost New X-men run and besides the afformentioned themes I disliked about it (you know, all the teenagers getting killed) overall I thought it was great.
So pretty much the only X title I still haven't read extensively since House of M is Legacy.
Pretty sure the nimrods have some ability to turn mutants powers against them, i think there were a couple of other scenes of x-mens powers backfiring... Possibly Iceman?

Well they need to get the hell over it, for one.
I mean bitch, bitch, bitch. Stop letting villains always join the team and stop Wolverine from stabbing everyone in his vicinity and maybe people will stop wanting to lock you up.
Wolverine stabbing people is the only thing that's kept me reading about muties for as long as I have. I could just limit my mutant intake to Weapon X and X-Force, but I keep up with the rest of them out of respect for Logan. And to use italics in my learned and hip posts.

I think you dudes are over-thinking the logo, as it's really only people who are familiar with comics who'd associate that logo with a storied history. New people will just see it and think, "Oh, so this is an X-Men book."
And X-Men is easy to get into when they're the oppressed minorities fighting to save a society that fears and hates them, but things get complicated when you get into the weird sci-fi elements like time travel and their outer space adventures. If a normal person read Utopia and that book where Havok and Rachel Summers go into space to fight Vulcan or whatever, he'd have no idea the books were related.

Also, stop letting the purifiers and the anti-mutant zealots and the sentinels and trask do whatever the fuck they want.

Apparently, outside of Xavier and Worthington, once you become a millionaire you decide to buy weapons for anyone who doesn't like mutants.
Sweet mother of god! For anyone who hasn't read 'X-club: blind science' you gotta read this shit now. Hope they can one of the wolverines or deadpools and give the X-Club their own on-going. And yes, i know its never, ever going to happen.
Yes. Dr. Nemesis quotes alone from Blind Science could fill the awesome moments thread for a week.
(long time lurker, figured blind science was as good a time to speak up)
I have been waiting for someone to mention it. maybe I'll even learn this scanning stuff and try and post some Dr. Nemesis's ( Nemesi?) hilarity.
Just got the Nation X hardcover today which has all eight issues of Uncanny right before Second Coming plus the Uncanny List issue and the anthology Nation X 4 issue mini. Skimming through it the Land art seems much better compared to his usual work and the anthology stories seem entertaining.

Legacy is soooooo good too, you should read it.
And they wonder why Comics Sales is falling.
People getting out of comics > People getting back or starting Comics.
most other books are easy to get the gist of
not x-men
never x-men

I like the way it fits with the cover as well.

Now now, some millionaires buy weapons for people who don't like spiders.

also, how much smaller would I have to make this panel to be a sig?
( arg code you are my bane)
( yay my first comic scan/embed, I feel so newbtastic)
Dr Nemesis isn't a nerd. Nerds aren't usually so terrifyingly insane.
Beg to differ, he's hilariously insane.
(because it has Rockslide)
The X Club is probably a reference to the group of english scientists of the same name from the late 1800's.
