Huh, guess it's time to hit the Wiki again...god damn Xmen make trips to the wikis a chore.
I really liked Gen Hope during Schism, debating on whether I should go the floppies route or wait and see what trades are good.
In other news, I got the first Uncanny X-force trade and it was rad. Were there any UXF stories that were pretty shitty and I should skip if they come out on trade or have all of them been really good? Keep in mind I liked pretty much all of X-force.
So normally I can almost look past Greg Land art, but for the "last" issue of Uncanny X-Men it's a damn disgrace to have him pencil this stuff. I thought the story was pretty solid but the art was just screamed LAND everytime it tried to pull at your heart/nostalgia the words/moment would fall short of what they could have been. Still nice things going on between Bobby and Scott but it could have been so much better.
I'm interested to see where it goes but unfortunately I'll have to wait since now is when I decided to start trade waiting the X-Men lines.

Hank's line about torture still doesn't hold up when he acts like Scott hasn't gone through the same thing. Dude was merged with Apocalypse for months comic time which was shown to be very painful and nearly killed him.
Really, I wouldn't mind it so much if Hank wasn't (either deliberately by the writers or not) in complete denial about everything Scott has done and has had done to him in the past, and that his actions, if he disagrees or not, didn't spring up over night. It's basically Uncanny X-Men on one side of the country and Passive Aggressive X-Men on the other side, and I really, really hope the x-writers can steer clear of that.
This is also the same Hank that contacted pretty much every genetic-centric villian around the world when he was searching for a cure for what Scarlet Witch did to mutants.
This is a stand alone issue written by James Asmus, who wrote that great Negative Zone story, and it looks like Emma will be smacking around some Secret Avengers. Oh how I want to see her punch Hank in the face.
Somebody needs to kick his ass for being all indignant about the stuff Professor X has done to try and protect mutants and then turning around and being King Asshole himself and not once bothering to apologize or say "okay I see where you were coming from now"
