    Not the Jean Grey school.

The characters in Legacy have become staff members there, Rachel included.

It's why Magneto won't be on the team. They've went separate ways.

So is Rachel giving up on the school or what?

    Rogue chose Wolverine's side

Man, the latest issue of Legacy was such a red herring that it was actually insulting.
I actually really liked everything right up until the end.
    Essentially,
After Rogue touches Magneto in order to better understand why he's staying at Utopia she discovers that there's a fragmented mutant stowed away in the consciousness of the Legacy team from their trip through space and that Korvus's sword is the key to opening the door to this mutant. There's lots of talk of fire and burning and it is more than heavily implied that the mutant is Phoenix. At the end of the issue they "open the door" and discover that it's.....Ariel. Womp womp.

And also, Kid Omega gets to spend some real quality time with Headmaster Logan…if you consider going to an alien casino planet to count cards and win a bunch of money to keep the school open to be "quality time."

This is exactly what I wanted out of this series

it is just Jason Aaron having fun and going crazy with the Marvel Universe

I took a look at the preview for X-club today, and I came to a revelation. Has anyone else noticed that Dr. Nemesis is Sheldon Cooper without the humility and restraint?

He actually kind of is, later on the issue he really takes umbrage with the idea that there's a list of the world's smartest heroes, as though he's smarter than any of them (he may very well be)

Simon Spurrier is an absolute fantastic writer and the fact that whatever he writes doesn't sell well shows the current comic reader has no fucking taste.

Was his Silver Surfer mini with Tang En Huat any good? I liked what I read here, and wouldn't mind picking up some of his other works.

Never read his Surfer mini but all you need to do is read his X-Men: Second Coming one-shot book to see how brilliant he is.

The X-Club is wonderful. The Fraction one-shot with them was probably the single best thing of a run mostly filled with lop-sided ideas and concepts that couldn't sustain themselves.

I kind of want that mini, but I don't know who Simon Spurrier is.

In thy name was pretty good

    This is better though

He really is great at doing snappy, funny dialogue, and for a book about basically a bunch of really clever people he works very well

Also I loved how me made Cyclops this perpetually smiling PR man, that was awesome

I'll also admit his lighthearted stuff is usually better than his more serious work.

I wonder how Peter David is going to get X-Factor to not be involved with A vs. X-men? He'll probably only write a one or two issue story just to get it over with. Also I hope Astonishing won't be involved with it as well since it's billed as continuity-free.

And X-Factor has some heavy hitters who would really help out Cyclops's side too. I don't want to see brother vs. brother again or some mutant east coast/west coast rapper feud, have Polaris show up and rip the metal right out of Iron Man (........this needs to happen, with holocard cover)

Eh, X-Factor aren't that heavy are they?

Monet's just kind of a poor man's Superman, and Siryn is I guess as strong as Banshee was? But stiiiill

I don't see anyone on X-Factor getting too invested in AvX. They've never really cared about Hope, have they?

Not really, not to mention the entire team basically told Cyclops that his Utopia experiment was just a "rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic" type of deal. I think Lorna and Havok may be rejoining X-Factor, or at least I remember someone mentioning to them that they should go check it out now that everyone's picking a side. If anything an X-Factor tie in would be just like wirehead said, a few issues where they're workin on some side gig loosely related to the whole affair.

If you can't beat them, arrange to have them beaten in your presence.

I would have thought that all the mutants on Wolverine's side wouldn't really get involved either

And if they did, it might be on the Avengers side since Wolverine is an Avenger and they would be all like "Cyclops fighting against the world's premier superteam is not doing anything to make mutants look good. Cut it out"

And then Bobby can use his new found awesome powers to trash Magneto and everybody is happy.

When I look at X-Factor they don't seem to have any heavyweights at first, but you then have Havok and Polaris, Madrox could come in handy just to have bodies out there fighting, and Guido and M are competent power pieces. If Siryn still has her hypnotizing song that can help too. It's all a matter of the innocent X-Men doing their best to stop the evil Avengers, every bit counts.

On the subject of Marvel's Merry Mutants, I'm happy to say I just recently scored a VG copy of Giant-Sized X-Men #1 on the cheap. Only 20 issues to go to complete my Claremont run! (And yes, I know he didn't write GSXM #1, but I count it as part of the story.)

Welcome to Miami Beach, ladies and gentlemen. Everything is cheaper than it looks.

    He does

But it's a massive improvement over Bachalo, and is overall very good, so I'm happy with it.

Wolverine looks like a kid because he's been acting childish ever since Schism :rotate:

I do love Bradshaw's art, ever since that Uncanny annual. That coloring is very nice too compared to Bachalo's coloring, maybe Laura Martin is doing this arc. And yet Uncanny gets fill-ins and Greg Land, not fair.

Is Astonishing in continuity? I thought it was, but I know there is something that isn't.

Also, for that 2nd to last panel, I keep picturing kitty saying something like " Don't worry kids, he's just from the future, he doesn't understand some stuff, he'll put the cushions back on the couch when he's done shoulderpadding them"
