Internal CPU temp. vs external sensor

What are your experiences with procs internal temp sensors vs an external sensor placed between the proc and cooling device?

I was looking to grab a unit with temp monitoring sensors, such as http://xoxide.com/sunbeam-chormatic-windmill-black.html. After reading http://www.overclockers.com/articles1378/ an article regarding cpu internal sensors, I wonder if this is something I really need or if it would just be a waste of money.

Well do you have a liquid nitrogen cooling system? Because if you don't well then you should get one of those first.

Motherboard internal sensors are usually not accurate.

There is no reason for you to buy any temperature monitoring hardware for any reason.

You can use the software motherboard monitor 5 if you want to see what your internal sensors tell you.

It's a water cooled system, always overclocking. I've a 64 3200 right now running at 2.7. Thursday I'll be replacing it with a Opteron 170 full of potential for overclocking nerdgasm joy.

You know, we have a whole subforum for the discussion of comic books.

On a lighter note, I have no fucking clue what is going on. I stopped reading 52 and a bunch of the other relaunch stuff, post Infinite Crisis.

Detective Comics is great because Paul Dini is writing it. And Darwyn Cooke just started an ongoing Spirit series that only has one issue so far, but that issue was fucking great.
