    I played a little 1943 last night. Still pretty good. Still hate the Iwo Jima map though.

    I got real high on that mountain range. The one overlooking the air field, and just kept snipin. I was terrible at first but got about four or five kills in a row after getting the delay down.

    Online: roadkill an enemy with any helicopter
    Online: do a headshot kill with the repair tool



    Sweet.

    I love gettin achievements for shit I do anyway.

    God I am so pumped, is the game still releasing in NA on tuesday? I got my pre-order in the other day along with the veteran stuff. Can't wait for some conquest action!

    Even if multiplayer turns into a sniper fest I'll still take it over MW 2 any day. I am so ready to put that game away for a long time. OSCAR MIKE TO CHARLIE AND GO FUCK YOURSELF RAMIREZ!

    I put 300+ hours into each of the BF games I played (except 1943, only about 100 there), I certainly expect to do the same with BC2. It'll depend largely on how good the maps are though (especially the conquest maps).

    Any word on the Steam Pre-load?

    Hmmm... BF2 worked for the veterans thing, but my 2142 login is apparently invalid even though I can use it on the 2142 site to log on. And all my 1942 +expansion and Vietnam keys have been claimed already. I do have rank 1 since I downloaded Heroes though. Is there any in-game benefit for having more than rank 1 (as in unlocks)?

    Also, does anyone have information on the M14? I've always loved that gun in any game it was in, and I'll be super happy if it's one of the 'use with any class' guns.

    And yeah, I only managed to pre-order and start playing the beta 5 days ago or so, but I'm gnawing my hands off waiting for Tuesday/Wednesday. :lol:

    IIRC the hitboxes in the console versions are literally XBOXHUGE.

    There's a sniper video from the PS3 Beta that has some ridiculous long range shots that just clearly miss the mark but make the target explode like a blood sausage.

    Yeah, on the PC version you have to actually hit the chopper with the rockets, it's hitbox is really defined.

    Several times on that video, dude hits the air next to it and it blows up.

    As someone who skipped Modern Warfare 2 because of the price and prefers Battlefield style multiplayer I'm ready for shooting some dudes in a modern setting.

    same on 360 version. Hitbox for the chopper is 1:1 with it's model.

    Wish they had kept the demo up for another couple of days, I could use some more practice.

    My LMG has more than enough boolets for anyone coming my way. Nothing like taking out a couple of enemies, planting a tracer on a tank, reviving the dudes it killed then seeing it blow up as my buddies rockets are steered to it by my tracer.

    There is aim assist as well on the consoles, I'm pretty sure I saw it as one of the options on the 360

    its a Core 2 duo T9500 with a fat cache. 8600m may be weak, but I run most stuff really well; however always worry on the newer games.

    I googled up some beta reports- I should run this fine. When will steam preload?

    And i just remembered my time with battlefield 2142.... being a medic was fun as hell in that!

    But medics have like 200 bullets in their guns. Engies need pistols as their secondary more than a medic ever will.

    But...but...I use tracer with Engi so that I can pop out from behind cover, tag a tank, then hide inside my shipping container tracking it and heaving rockets into the sky.
