Hey H/A. Thought about posting this in the ME2 threads in G+T or SE, but they're so huge.
I have Mass Effect 2 for the 360. I downloaded the Zaeed and Normandy Crash Site DLC. Now, I downloaded these to my hard drive, but it was in my roommate's system. Whenever I bring the hard drive back into my room, in my system, ME2 says that the DLC is corrupt.
Now, I've done some browsing around the web, and I haven't really heard much. Apparently Dragon Age had similar problems? Also, it may only be an issue while playing offline (but I am unsure as to how this makes any sense).
Did you at least download it under your own profile? If yes, try redownloading it on your current system, and make sure you're online when you play.
Offline though, you're shit out of luck. DLC binds itself to the profile and the console. Take your hard drive wherever you want, but as far as Microsoft is concerned, that DLC belongs to your friend's 360. It also belongs to your profile, but they require you to be online to verify you own it.

Yeah, I used my gamertag/profile and cerberus/EA/bioware accout. Damn it.
Good News!
My hubby and I just did a license transfer, for the first time, and it seems to work. We have 3 gamer tags between the two of us and have bought content on probably 4 different consoles over the years. Well, we finally decided that we wanted to consolidate all the licenses to our new XBox so that any content we payed for could be used by any gamer tag and while off line (while on that XBox).
We called support to ask them if the 3 gamer tags, and collection of old consoles they had been used on, would cause a problem. They said no. After the license transfer was done we had to redowload the patches for every game and demo we ever played. The support guy said it was best to let them all patch and just delete them after, or there would be some ghost image for eternity and the licenses might not transfer properly or some crap . So far it seems like we can use downloaded content across any gamer tag. We have not yet checked if it works off line or not.
They have a toll free number if you want to call them and make sure transfering licenses between consoles but just one gamer tag wont erase anything, but I don't see why it would. You are allowed to do one license transfer per year, per gamer tag. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/licensemigration/
