Well if we're in a situation where our glorious leader just isn't there. We either need to create a new Kin, or if Turbine allows such a thing, try to have a GM change the position to someone more active.
what's up guys. stevo 22 here. aka the guy who made the op.
it's been a while. here for the free weekend, maybe looking to stay. we'll see. promised myself i wouldn't play another mmo until the old republic but the lure of the shire is too great to deny. "raius" is my name on landroval. 58 champ woot. hit me up.

Boy, that kinda talk'll get a man shot 'round 'ere. :x
They have an auto-demote feature where if the leader is logged out for a certain amount of time, the successor gets made leader, and then if *he's* logged out for too long, the officers get a go. But this takes a long-ass time.
Yeah, I had it for a while, but I noticed a few weeks ago it auto-demoted me (took some time off to blow off some steam after my account got hacked)... Forget who holds it now. It was one of the regulars, though.
Still pop in every so often... slowly making it to 65, and still don't have a mount.
EDIT: Apparently it gave it to Weerean.

Wow, that first Mirkwood Instance to actually get into the area is so hard.
I was there when it first opened, so the hardest part for me was finding mobs that weren't tagged by other players. I can imagine it's more of a challenge now.

The hardest part of it at first was that it was a little buggy. I was never able to get the deed for completing all those prologue quests because a certain mob would bug out into some kind of dead-standing-up state and not respawn.
Goddamned job managing a bar. Making me sleep late and work later. I am gonna squander this free weekend, and hate myself. It's a festival weekend in Austin (when isn't it?) so I'll be on after work, 4am? Ug.
In other news my lvl 22 guardian has 2k armor, and 41% common mitigation. That seems OP. Also I rediscovered my Hunter and want to play him hardcore again, never mind that I was making twink jewlery on Edytwen (My LM) and discovered she has some pre-nerf jewelery equipped that makes me fucking go O.o. (Purple Etched bloodstone ring of tactics I'm looking at you, outperforming your little turquoise replacement by 3% Tactical Crit Multiplier.)
This game is so much the best MMO out there, playing wow again for 3 months only made me realize I have a fever and the only cure is moor cowbell.

Yeah, captains and wardens can tank, but guardians are Tanks. I have a 65 guard, but I've been working on my minstrel and RK, and I die a lot because I'm so used to being effectively invincible.

Guardians are tanks by way of having a lot of mitigations and morale, but wardens are tanks because they can self-heal and buff throughout combat. We're just as good as your plate mail ass at tanking in the end.

Just you know FYI.
He didn't mean offense I'm sure. I think he meant to say Guardians are Tanks. As in they are things covered in heavy metal.
I get defensive about warden's tanking capabilities, because I had some bad run-ins with people assuming I'm "like a hunter without the dps" or just plain "right we don't really need anyone else so we'll take you, can you just spam conviction?"
Hate that I'm not playing right now. UGGHH. I almost installed it on the work HP. Mind you the work HP, is the PC that runs a fucking BAR in downtown Austin, TX. So impractical.
So, are you guys enjoying your xp, and free travel?
warden/rk might be sweet because the RK is hybrid between dps and healing, so the duo could adapt between blowing through quest mobs with the RK nuking and the warden on interrupt/tank duty and taking down elites/rank3 duo skirmishes with the RK throwing in heals while the warden goes invincible.

So Hjartad ding'd 62 earlier today, and I must say...I like Mirkwood so far a hell of a lot better than I liked Moria. It's not a whore to navigate, I can use my goddamn mounts there (imagine that shit), and LOTS of resource nodes.
ugh, moria is such a drag to play. Got my guy at 55, halfway through the moria slog. Been playing alts instead.

Heh. I'm still stuck on 2.5.5 because I dread having to re-enter Moria at some point. I had about 30-40 non-epic Moria quests in my log at one point, and I cancelled them all because I want as little to do with that hellhole as possible.
I really liked Forochel, that's where I spent my 40->50, that and Eregion. Moria though, as amazing as it is in some respects, it's just, well it's fucking hell. I'm not a dwarf, I don't like Mines.
I really like Forochel, it's so scenic. I wish it was easier to get that Lossoth armor though, it looks really cool but I don't want to grind my way to kindred.
Moria is fine, except for the map. The map is utterly useless in most of Moria, you just have to get lost and learn your way around. Especially the Foundations of Stone, I'm still not sure how you're supposed to get down by the lake without falling off a cliff of some kind

My very worst nightmare.
I have backups for just this kind of world ending scenario.

Champions can tank. Captains, even with their "tanking" line, cannot, outside of a few extremely specific cases.

Unless you're a Hunter. :P
Someone on PA thought that a warden/rune keeper might be "sweet".
What say you?
We rolled two hunters and that's hella fun slingin arrows all over the place but I wanted to try a combo that's pretty much "Fuck you Barrow Downs!"
I do believe I speak for everyone when I say "Fuck Fornost." amirite?
