Angmar is alright. After all, you can use your mount, you can get from point A to point B easily, and so forth. The council of the north rep is really really really annoying, and the scenery is bleak, but those don't really compare to the annoyances of moria.
I think reducing the rep requirements on the goats would go a long way to improving the quality of life for adventuring in Moria.
Yeah, I don't have any problems with Forochel. (Save the OH SHIT INCOMING BATTLE MOOSE.)
Fornost, on the other hand, was that instance in the North Downs that we were in until like 5 AM last night. Ugh. At least a few people got some upgrades from it...
Also, what are these "mount" things people speak of? Sprint is how I get around...

I do believe I speak for everyone when I say "Fuck Fornost." amirite?
Fuck Fornost indeed, sir. But Fornost was not in Angmar. It was ND's. The only part of Angmar I truly, terribly and horribly despised was that goddamn undead-infested area directly west of Gath Fornir. CD could be a lot of fun with the right group, Western Angmar was decent, and I really enjoyed (though I may be the only one) that big swamp area in the south with the staring statues of death.
I really liked Forochel, that's where I spent my 40->50, that and Eregion. Moria though, as amazing as it is in some respects, it's just, well it's fucking hell. I'm not a dwarf, I don't like Mines.
Mirkwood on the other hand is totally awesome.
This. All of it. Forochel was one of my favorite zones in the entire game. Eregion was a fucking blast, as well, and I have a soft spot in my heart for Evendim.
I disagree that rep requirements for the Moria goat should be lowered, because I busted my goddamn ass to grind Iron Garrison to kindred to get that goddamn 6-gold-costing thing. :x
So, are people actually playing the game again? When I quit, the guild was down to two or three of us. My quitting had less to do with the inactivity, and more to do with the fact that I was max level and was bored of the end-game grind for virtues. I ran some Sammath Gul and other instances, but there honestly wasn't enough of end-game to keep me interested.
I guess I'll be back with the new expansion pack when and if it is released.

Fornost (and GA pre-remake) was really not that bad if you agreed BEFOREHAND what you were going to do inside. If you wanted to do the whole thing you would be in there for hours, but if you just went to do the trolls and the fire boss, or the water boss, or the main keep or just a boss run...then it was in and out under 2 hours and everyone would get a chance on fat loot or getting some quests done.
If it's in your guild, agree to go again next week/tomorrow to do another part and soon enough you'll have seen the whole place and you'll be walking around in stuff better than critted crafted gear.
Howdy! Rawk here, once again. I'd like to mention that my ventrilo server is fully capable of supporting up to 40 fancy lads. My wife and I hang out on there roughly every night, and sometimes I even have guest friends stoppin by to say whats up.
I also have my kin that I'm using to own a kin house for extra storage, if we'd want to get the actives in a kinship with an active leader, and get some structure going. I'd like to offer that as well. I dunno about most people, but I play to have fun, and hang out. I've done my fair share of raiding, and I'd like to do more, but, we don't have enough higher levels to take care of it.
So, this is an open invitation to join "The Riders of Brohan", an alt, or a main, go ahead and stick them in there, open up recruitment to non PA folk, and really just play to have fun and all that jazz. I do not want to take from the Barrovian Society at all, and this isn't a split up of PA folks either. Hell I won't even take offense if you say the name sucks and that I suck. Mi kin es su kin. =3

Looking 2 buy 2 GBA SP's, Any color, must work, Battery cable included. Will pay more than Gamestop or EB, but less than Ebay.

Heh. I think the problem was that we had *no* idea what we were doing inside there. We basically fought up through the whole first part, past the field with many trolls, and got to where the portal was to go inside... and someone mentioned that they thought the quest was outside. We didn't know that the "inside" was something you had to pass through to get to the higher section, so we backtracked and cleared out the other section past the ghosts (and the boss over that way... I guess that was the "water" boss?). Realized that was a dead-end when we hit the gate that we didn't have a key for, so backtracked *again* through the troll fields, went inside, fought the boss in *there*, and then found the door that leads up after that one.
At least I got a couple of Slayer deeds while in there.

So, finally got through a Sword Halls hard mode run. We were doing fine, except we weren't killing the last boss in time, and all the trash mobs would spawn and ruin us. And then it occurred to me that if the healer was keeping me up with three bosses beating on me without issue, she should be able to keep me up with one boss beating on me, her in WS, and me in OP.
SH hm is pretty amazing in seeing what combinations actually work. You were doing it guardian/minstrel/dps, while most people would agree tank/dps/dps is easier: tank grabs vampire and troll, dps nukes down angmarim and then go on to the vampire. Tank keeps him/herself up with selfheals/big pool of morale.
I think my most successful groups were with warden/hunter/champion, but the most awesome group was warden/champion/burglar. The burg just timed the fellowship movements correctly and we all hit the right button at the right time as well. I think I ended the fight on max morale.

Guard/Mins/Hunter to be precise. We tried it a couple times with the Mins starting in WS to help the Hunter burn the Angmarim down fast, but the Hunter kept dying with the Angmarim around 1/3 morale left. Tanking all three together worked better, but I imagine if we'd had melee dps, that might not've been the case.
It's certainly a fight that lets the Warden's strengths shine. A guardian is likely going to need to blow a cooldown or two during the first third of the fight, whereas I'd imagine that the warden can stick to a pretty standard tanking rotation.
So, TBS, hi. I haven't logged on for over three months (burnout and busy real life), but yesterday I had a sudden urge to play LOTRO. It turns out I forgot to unsubscribe from my three months plan, and I was still paying Turbine for not playing. So, after some patching, Jagoda was back on Landroval. Man, I missed the game....
Weird feeling though. I forgot how to play my minstrel, and what my skills do. But when I started some low level skirmish for practice, my fingers knew correct DPS rotation and what skills to use. I wasn't sure what I was doing, just what button to press. Very weird feeling.
Should be hitting 65 this weekend. Who wants to do some Mirkwood instances?
Hit me up sometime if you see me on. We're pretty much in the same area (lvl 63 hunter) and it'd be nice to have someone around to soak up some of the damage.

wardens have no big cooldowns to blow anyway, everything is done by way of gambits, it's no surprise that a guardian has to use some of his big skills, that's what they're for right?
I use completely different gambits as compared to simple tank/spank fights, I mostly generate aggro through self-heals instead of the usual fist-spear gambit aggro-building. And I use loads of corruption removal for the nice buffs.

It was released last december.
Absolutely.
Also, I'll be on around 1030 EST (maybe 11) for Great Barrows happytimes.
Ya I was there till 2:30 in the morning PST here. And I have a bunch of new quests there and have to go back..

And shortly thereafter, I was bidden to fight the second-biggest goddamn spider I've ever seen:
Mirkwood truly is the stuff that nightmares are made of. Then again, it also offers its share of (strangely) beautiful vistas:
should've just started running with the wife and I, we're both like 62.
But then, hardly anybody runs Helegrod anymore.
How do I put stuff in the Barrovians coffers? I have lots of recipes.
What's more wanted atm...Recipes or crafting mats?
Anyway, check your skills tab and there should be a 'travel to kinhouse' ability, requires a traveling ration from a general vendor.
Your sauce. It is weak.

Fight ended quickly once we figured that out.
