I finished this about two hours ago. Playing through it again to try for more trophies.
End-game spoilers:
Madison was the sole heroine in the end. I got Ethan thrown in jail while escaping the motel, and I guess Jayden was killed after being drug away by big black junkyard guy (no doubt he was ass-raped to death...). I ended up helping Shelby up only to have his double-cross me and get impaled by accident.
Know that I know Shelby is the Origami Killer, it feels so weird to play his scenes. I just got through the convenience store segment again, and when the store owner tells Shelby he showed him there's still good in this world...holy shit.

I am enjoying it so much, but it is so harrowing! I feel absolutely awful if I screw up (which is frequently, even with glasses on I have problems reading the controls - I'll blame our small TV) and it doesn't help that nearly every chapter ends on a real downer.
Also I have never not been spoiled on a game before. I am resisting spoilers SO hard for the first time in my life and it's driving me crazy!
I let a friend borrow this immediately after I beat it, because I didn't want to cheapen the experience of my original playthrough by going Trophy-hunting and redoing multiple scenarios (I have no self-control)
It's been like a month and a half now though...really getting the itch to play through again
Aaaah I called it! I didn't spoil myself AND I called it!
I've watched far too many detective shows/read too many books, because I was suspicious of Shelby from almost the very beginning. Things that tipped me off:
A gentle, moral private detective who happens to be really good at finding leads? Too good to be true!
Hmm, how come we never see him doing any 'detective' work? How come he knows where to go and why don't we see why he knows?
I had this funny feeling right from the first scene with Lauren - forget what tipped me off - that he was the killer revisiting his victims' families to see the effects of his crimes.
So I'm feeling pretty chuffed. 8-)
Also ending:
Four heroes, yay! Got all the 'good' endings, everyone lives except the killer, who dies.

Poor Lauren.
Also, love the tanks on Jayden's desk.
Which I believe is the "best"

Oh man.
Wonder how this will turn out.
Or if it's true at all really. Don't really know how VG247 is as a source.
