FIX FOR FREEZING ON THE LOADING SCREEN
Courtesy of pcultimate from the Bioware forums for creating the dummy load.blk files and mtvnot from Piratebay for figuring out the fucked up .blk files that don't play correctly for whatever reason:

Get those files.

Replace the following files ONLY, NOT ALL OF THEM, or you won't be able to move forward with the game past the IFF sequence of events. Only the files below are broken, the rest you should be able to watch.

If you're getting in-game freezing every few seconds, do the following:

Go to the folder where you installed the game.

Go to Binaries and make a shortcut of MassEffect2.exe.

Now open properties on this shortcut and add the line -nomoviestartup.

It should look like this "...Binaries\MassEffect2.exe" -nomoviestartup.

Start the game. It should work lag free now.

The third kind of loading problem is addressed here. It deals with their length.

The only thing that I hate about ME2 is that I can't accept the default choices. Thus, I must always play ME1 first to set the stage before I can play ME2.

Oh well. I'm good enough with the Krogan on my character. I wanted to switch it out for a sniper rifle spec now that we have the DLC shotgun and it looks pretty good.

But really...I only needed a long range weapon for that platform section.

Legion (he was the last party member I recruited since I didn't know it was a "recruitment" mission)

sooner? Renegade, Paragon, wishy-washy neutral guy... I can't see me not having him in my party through every playthrough. He is that awesome.

Plus, I feel that the viper doesn't do anything the carnifex didn't already do, except zoom. Also the only thing more satisfying than that THOOM and then some dude being a corpse that the widowmaker does so well is charge+krogun to the face then punch the guy standing right next to him to death while he watches his dead buddy somersault through the air.

    Seriously.

Except for the status of the council, the default choices are basically everything I didn't do. Different character surviving Virmire, status of the Rachni, everything.

And I'm starting to regret not saving the council. I miss the Turian councilmember.

Ok so I want to take a certain character on a certain loyalty mission. I remember this being mentioned the other day. Post-IFF spoilers:
I am down to Tali's loyalty mission and the IFF mission. Can I do IFF to get Legion and then talk to him to unlock his loyalty mission, then do Tali's loyalty mission with him in tow? Will I still lose crew members?

Do I have to unlock Legion's loyalty mission before doing Tali's loyalty mission? Or should I do his first? Or should I do Tali's loyalty mission first, and then talk to Legion before going to the galaxy map to unlock his mission?

Anyone sure on the triggers that cause the kidnapping? I've heard as long as you have loyalty missions in your journal then it won't fire, or something like that. Or maybe just Legion and Tali?

I guess if I lose a little crew it won't be the end of the world. But I want to take Legion on Tali's mission and I'm still hoping to save everyone.
