ITunes wont reinstall, Vista claims I'm not admin...

I tried to update my iTunes today, as I've been putting it off for a while, and the installation stopped partway because it said I did not have the privilages to install it. The word is that you need to rename your old iTunes folder to something else, but I tried that and it claims I'm not an administrator, which is odd because I'm the sole user of this computer and there are no other users created.

I really miss mai metals. Does anyone have a fix so I can reinstall iTunes/Quicktime?

    right click on the install

    run as administrator

this is having done no research at all but it might solve it

What fort1tude suggested is probably the case - whenever you run an .exe or .msi file to install a program in Vista+ it's usually a good idea to right click and "Run as Administrator". It removes a lot of headaches later.
