Wonder Man is pretty solid fun so far, although I don't really like the art.

There was a page long debate within a crowd at a diner over how many words are in "superhero" in issue one.

Man, just finished my books. I'm not sure how I'd rate this week, really. Agents of Atlas built up to a nice 5th issue, but the 6th was kinda 'meh'. The big, exciting confrontation with Golden Claw was neither big nor exciting. Blade was interesting but I wasn't blown away by it. Green Lantern Corps was fairly good, even without my knowing anything about the characters. Welcome to Tranquility was good, but not too much happened. Justice Society was all right. Wonder Man was pretty good and validated my decision to buy whatever Peter David is writing. Surprisingly enough, Marc Guggenheim wrote a pretty good first issue of Hyperion vs. Nighthawk.

Ah hah, My shill job is finally returning results! Reggie's gonna give me a raise when he hears about this!

I knew nothing of the character prior to picking the book up, so I can't really answer that question. However, I liked the first two issues quite a bit. Her interactions with other heroes (Spidey, "Daredevil", Black Widow) are fun. In the fight scenes, you can tell that she's got skills but is still pretty new to the superheroing thing.

It makes sense that she does well, considering she has the collective experience of the other White Tigers and the federal agent training and all. If you're interested in her, you should go back and pick up the Daredevil hardcovers (on Amazon or something. Super cheap!). The beginning of the White Tiger story starts in the third one, and she appears as the FBI agent on the case when Matt gets outed. It's pretty cool to see them build her up for her own series (which totally did not register in my mind as her until this week). Plus. You know. It's amazing.

And if it makes you feel better about being a shill, instead of buying 23, I just shuddered. Michael Turner + Brown Civil War banner = Terrible. I have to say, though, it wasn't that bad for Michael Turner.

I think I would've gotten the White Tiger back issues... if they actually had 3 in today.

    Runaways
    Green Lantern Corps
    Justice Society of America

Small week, but a good one. Runaways continues a good arc, Champagne continues to write an excellent GLC arc dealing with Black Ops Green Lanterns, and JSA, while mostly being setup, continued to have good little character-based bits, fleshing out some of the newer people and letting new readers get to know the older ones.

    Splain?
There is this thick papered eMusic add with a punchout card for free songs or whatever in the middle of this month's books.

It's stuck in between the book, so I thought I could slide it out, but as it turns out is is stapled.

It is also only about half a page in length, so it makes the book bend weird.

    :(

Like those damn Heroscape 3d glasses. Speaking of ads, was I the only one who, when turned to the new Wii comic stlye ad, kept reading as if it were part of the comic? Yeah, I get a bit...absorbed at times.

I did that, even when I read it last week from some comic.

But the Heroscape 3D Glasses slide out of the book
