I'm not sure how endgame Terran is supposed to look, but massive amounts of Marines and Mauraders backed by Medivacs and Thors is pretty intimidating.
Make sure to expand enough and make sure to build enough production facilities, like 3+ Barracks per saturated mineral line you have (16 SCVs for 8 mineral patches). Now make sure that you never stop building units and supply depots.
Every time you die, think about why you lost. Did you not have enough units? Make more next time. Did you not not have enough money to make more units? Expand more next time. Did your army get decimated by a smaller one? Make the right units next time.
Also, imagine how unfair maphacking is. Now understand that gratuitous scouting presents the same advantages that maphacking provides. You should be curious and thirsty for knowledge on what's going on. A good time to attack is usually right when your opponent finishes building a new expansion, but before he can get too many workers there.
Upgrade the attack and armor of your units.

Does anyone else find the Terran music strongly reminiscent of Firefly?
Yeah, I was just thinking that watching that HDstarcraft dude's replay of his TvP game. Very cool. It sort of shifts from a Firefly intro-ish bit into the good old shredding guitar bit back into some Firefly from what I can hear. Awesome.
It is. I haven't played the beta, but I've been watching streams of it live off of a site, actually, at the moment theres a game going on, being narrated by someone, and its actually pretty damn good.
If you can't find replays, find a stream of a good player that plays your race. It sounds super lame but sit down with a pencil and paper and a clock. Start the timer when the game starts and get writing.
You want to note when buildings/units/research start and what supply count the player is at as he starts each. Supply count is actually more useful to note than time. Note that worker production is probably constant unless the player is doing a specific timing build where he cuts worker production at certain points.
If you watch enough games you'll get different builds depending on match up and hopefully variations on each match up. From there, you can work to streamline the builds and make adjustments to suit your play. It also becomes easier to make up your own builds from here now that you have a better understanding of how stuff works.
Another very useful thing to note is mineral count on the patches. For example, figure out the fastest time for DT rush and note how many minerals are on your patches at this time. Then in your next TvP, you know that when your mineral patches hit X minerals, you should start setting up detection at this time.
It takes a bit of effort but if you put the effort in at the beginning it becomes A LOT easier to make build orders later on. It also helps you understand unconventional timings and openings that happen when your opponent does some weird build or some strange situation occurs.

So I got to thinking - has anyone gotten a beta key that DOESN'T have the original SC registered on it? I'd wager they would favor those who have the original registered.

That sounds like a theory worth checking out--for the record, I do have the Starcraft Anthology linked to my Battle.net account.

I spent 45 minutes hunting down the ancient disk just to link it this afternoon. I want in the next wave of invites damnit!
I don't think enough discussion is being had about this music. It's amazing.
I have been listening to it pretty much nonstop. My wife didn't believe me when I told her it was video game music.
I absolutely love how they revisited all of the themes from the SC1 soundtrack and really fleshed everything out.
The protoss track is especially impressive in my opinion... It completely transports me to another place.

I have to agree, my first game was with terrans, and the music immediately struck me. I very much enjoyed the familiar themes remixed into the new music.
So what are the different leagues? Does it only go from bronze to gold, or is there stuff above/below that?
Platinum is the current top, which is 1 above gold. Don't know about the other levels.
Pro, platinum, gold, silver, bronze and practice.
I think they're only running from platinum to bronze right now. I assume that when the game is actually released the pro league will be restricted to those on professional teams or with licenses.

Something else that is cool that I haven't seen reported much: after a game, in addition to the score screen from SC1, you can view the build order of all players. So if you want to know "how the fuck did he get 3 zealots in my base before i got 2 marines" you don't even need to load up the replay.
The TSL is down to 4 people, one of those 1v1 matches should start in a couple minutes, you can watch it live on http://www.teamliquid.net/live/ if you're interested. I've been watching since the round of 16 and there's really a lot of high quality games. They do best of 5 for the semi finals and best of 7 for the finals (next weekend). The winner of this match is guaranteed at least $5000.

Then after that well, I have no idea what to do. Like zero.
That's pushing me more towards Terran over Protoss this time around, though I've always been close.
But damn, the Zerg have some really awesome animations, particularly on their buildings, which are as squishy and disgusting as possible.
God I love them all.
Need that beta.

From good players preferably?
It's just in audio form, but the sound quality is excellent. He's apparently going to release some videos this weekend.

If so: Add that shit to the OP with a howto! :0
Careful, SC fansites are deleting posts that instruct you how to do this. I suppose there are repercussions from Blizzard.
Yeah the method to do so is tantamount to pirating the game, so I wouldn't bother with it.
