It's not that powers curve too early; they follow a parabola. So, if the cover is really thick, their arc will take them into the side of the cover. If it's thin, it won't.
Concussive shot will fire in a direct straight line regardless of how you aim the reticle. The bonus is that it will destroy breakable objects and you can upgrade it to an aoe to knock down a bunch of people even if you hit a wall infront of them.

i still find that if you aim diagonally above whoever you want to hit you'll still hit em most of the time regardless of cover size.

I prefer the Biotic wave attack to Concussion AoE, mostly because knocking them down usually makes them fall under their cover and out of sight, whereas the wave usually knocks em back a bit, enough time for a headshot.

You know, it's just been bugging me as a semi-casual gamer not up on the terms and having abbreviation confusion, what is AoE?
Area of Effect?

Yes.
Also, Age of Empires.
Well played, sir. Well played. Now I'm on a nostalgia kick.
Has anybody posted this video of Kasumi?Final mission spoilers, apparently Bioware still left code for her in the endgame, which makes sense because that would make it easier to add her in. The model seems to be a stand-in, though.

My gut reaction while viewing the Vanguard video was "No fucking way is that on Insanity."
Then he showed that it was on Insanity.
Still thinking "No fucking way." but damn that's a good Vanguard player.
And only vanguard players can do that unfortunately - no other class can do that on insanity - even the almighty broken soldier will die in seconds trying to solo a colossus.

She has a boat load of lines too, she calls shephard Shep and really, really loves ramen.
just watching the final "run" makes me want to fire up the game again.
the odd thing about that vanguard video was that there were no geth spawns coming out of the sides, just him and the colossus...
Charge is the only ability in the game to completely skip the enemy spawns since it's basically instant teleport completely negating the enemy spawn triggers.
What happens if you tell him to cover you with the Rockets?
I'm always to scared that Adam Baldwin will die so I never tell him to.
You get some renegade points, and he covers you for a while. He lived on all my runs except for Insanity, and he ate it pretty hard. You get some special dialgoue, and Tali makes some extra sad faces.

Indeed it can, from rank 2 onwards.
That explains why he didnt get rape faced.
every time hi shields dropped he just charge replenished them
Someone at Bioware obviously stuffed up.

o.O That sure beats my horrible Adept run on this guy.
I'm so lame.
I'm always to scared that Adam Baldwin will die so I never tell him to.
Commander Shepard does not need the help of some Quarian with a tummy ache
he helps you for a while and then eventually gets killed.
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
Oh come on, he gets one badass moment in the whole stinkin game. He only dies if you suck like a sucking sucker.
