I watched those videos of the collector ship, and it just doesn't work like that. My team literally dies in seconds. No matter what I do, they just fucking keel over instantly.
Garrus and Miranda. I tried miranda and grunt and the same fucking thing happens.
That's... odd. Do you tell them to take cover?
I basically tell them to take the farthest cover, then use Warp a bunch. Sometimes there are places they get confused and die easier, but I haven't had it happen too often.
I had them both under cover, and they would just die from full health to nothing. The scions weren't even shitting at the time!
I just finally beat it though. The last harbinger got stuck on something which made it a lot easier.
So I'm pretty much at the point of no return I think:
Wrapped up just about all the side shit, then picked up Mr. Roboto and the Reaper IFF. Wasn't prepared for what happened after that. At first I was like "wait, why am I getting in a shuttle? I've done like everything ever." and then SHITSTORM.
Despite having run out of fresh dialog with them, I miss the crew
Yup, now head right through the relay. Otherwise... bad things happen.
I would certainly do it now, but the powergamer in me is confused and upset.
I've bought everything at every shop in the game except for the high lord researcher's shop on tuchanka. I used every discount possible, and got nearly all of the available credits in the game up to this point, but I still need another 250k to get the last few upgrades at the shop. Is this normal for ME2 first playthrough? I imported my ME1 paragon, but he had only done a single playthrough so he was only level 50.
Death Mask, Black and Orange color scheme, and I was awesome.
I wish there were more armor parts, I loved mixing and matching them for a neat visual effect.
Its amazing and sad that most of the head pieces come from Dr. Pepper.
Shepard shouldn't be wearing any head gear anyway.
Always be wearing I think you mean.
Head gear for missions, man. I'm not going to contribute to the silly "no helmets on the protagonist" cliche. This is a war, dammit. I can go headgearless on the Normandy.

I believe a more aggressive playstyle with you in front getting aggro on everything helps your squadmates live. You gotta make sure you're the nearest target for your enemies, not your squad.
Even so your squad will get killed very easily, especially on higher difficulties. Unless it's Grunt with his loyalty power maxed.
It's the best balance between seeing your face and also wearing something cool. Next time I play I might try the Dragon armor though.
It is not cool. It has that huge metal thing that goes around the back of the head where it's bolted to Shepard's scalp with magic and the whole thing is just too much bulky metal. And the eyepiece clips through cool hair.
if anything really needs some work for the third game it's the squad AI
way to often am I walking around minding my business only to have those bozos run way off into the distance and start a fight while standing on top of, not behind, cover

Silly? How would I be able to to see Shepard smirking at people if he had a helmet on?

Only ugly Shepards wear helmets. The rest of us stun enemy troops with our beauty.

The big metal thing on the back still clips through all the hairs. And some of the big metal parts show anyway. And the eyepiece clips through hair too.
I've pretty much worn the visor since I picked it up on omega. Widow-geared infiltrator with warp ammo + visor = beautiful one-shot kills on just about everything.

Frankly speaking, I'm happy with the squad AI. This is pretty much due to the fact that my first experience with party AI in an RPG was Fallout, and I'm just really happy I'm not being shot in the back anymore.

That thing is so ugly. The little targeting recticle doesn't even line up with Shepard's eye.
If they had a small one like Garrus' I might wear that but the one's they provide for you are gigantic.

Agreed, helmets are for people who don't want bullets to go into them.

Recon Hood is the one that covers your whole face right?
Yeah, I ditched that after I got tired of people recognizing me in cutscenes before I even said anything.
Not to mention to blocked my awesome face. That could not stand.

That will haunt my dreams tonight.
My first playthrough was using the Blood Dragon Armor from Dragon Age DLC purchase. I used it on my male Paragon Shepard Infiltrator with the default Shepard look. Suited me fine that I couldn't see his face, just as much as using Collector Armor now on my Vanguard is fine too. I see Shep's face in uniform on the Normandy enough that I don't really care.

But I mean even without the atrocity of not being able to see your face...the DLC armor...is bad.
Cerberus is the only acceptable one and even it is horrible because of the helmet.
Dragkonias, have you posted a picture of your Man Shepard in all his pretty glory?
edit:
Terminus doesn't look horrid, except you look like you would be a villain in Tron.
Dragon = Cylon
Collector = "why the fuck are people not scared?"

That's ridiculous. Shepard should wear the best head gear.

Incorrect.
Seriously. What's the point of customizing your Shepard, if you don't ever get to see what he/she looks like?

they seem like the sort of thing that'd only go with an engineer, but I don't want to play engineer so whatevs

This:
This is true. It's like you're checking your stocks during combat.
Pancake: I can't help but think of Star Trek: TNG with that one. I tried it..

Don't be silly. Shepard's just managing her iTunes playlist.
I know it's been said before but Pancake, your Shepard sure is pretty!
360 version. Though still I would have to change my hair, until I can have a fabio mane he will not be perfect. Sadly, it is not an option.
