You don't get face codes from ME1 imports, it seems.
I don't know why. Across all my attempts I've gotten a) no face code on my squad screen b) the default face code and c) a face code that is utterly wrong when i key it in
I haven't checked my first game, admittedly, which is the only one I carried the face over from

By the way, I just did the side mission N7 - Captured Mining Facility where you decrypt some code to find out where the Ter Alan ship is, while fighting Eclipse mercs. At the end it says it needs more decryption and is uploaded to Cerberus and they'll let you know when it's done.

EDIT - Shit, right, I don't think there was another one after that. I thought the Eclipse were pretty underrepresented in the side missions. Then again you did get a fucking ton of them in the one recruitment mission.

I've heard rumblings that if the face code you get is wrong, it will correct itself once you're to Freedom's Progress. I don't know if it's true or not since I refuse to use any of my original faces, looking as awful as I think they do in ME2.

Haha, I just wanted to make my Shepard from ME1 look more rugged and older and badass in ME2, since going through all that shit, he had a more solid footing on where he stands in the galaxy. He's not some upstart Spectre anymore.

@Pancake, the scars? I just didn't feel like spending the resources just for a stupid room to remove them. Usually they're not inflamed anyway, unless I was just particularly renegade about something.
@A duck!, honestly, I'm pretty sure I lowered the lip size down as much as I could. I just liked the lip shape because he looks like he's annoyed by something all the time.

So I wonder what the chance of headshotting a YMIR will make it nuke. I thought the game glitched the only time it happened to me.
The killing shot has to destroy the head, which requires somewhat substantial damage. Your best bet is a weapon that does a lot of damage in a single shot. A sniper rifle or the carnifex are good choices.
