Celebrity Killshot! Should Celebrities be Hunted for Sport?

We've all seen them; obnoxious people paraded around in the media. They're famous but do we know what for exactly? Of course not! They are soulless, empty vessals walking the Earth drinking, screwing and getting on as many people's nerves as possible.

Until Now

What I am suggesting is the ultimate in reality tv shows. Research shows that the more intellectual people don't watch reality telelvision, calling it 'brain dead pulp for the ignorant masses'. Others say there's simply not enough action in them, finding them too dull for their ADD riddled brains. Yet more simply find the shows as fake as the douche bags on them.

This is where, Celebrity KIllshot will revolutionize television.

We take 10 people randomly selected contestants from the public and arm them with the best weapons America can buy and 5 highly trained mercenaries and pit them against 20 defenseless douchebag, no talent parasitic 'celebrities' dropped at random in New York and film every single bullet-ridden, blood-soaked, tear inducing moment. A team of proffesional psychoanylists will be on hand in the studio throught out to fill us in on just what is going on in the hunter's minds(But not the celebs, we all now nothing goes on in there's.)

There will be tears!

There will be terror!

There will be blood!

There will be CASH PRIZES!

Okay so that a little far fetched but the hypothetical question I'd like to pose is: Should we hunt down celebrities for sport?

Would anyone watch Celebrity Killshot if it were real?

Would any of you participate?

I like the idea of celeb hunting, they annoy me so much and have no purpose other than being famous, at least hunting would give them some use. Even still, I would not watch a show like the one above as I know it's been put together as simple exploitation of the populous' love of violence and pseudo reality bullshit.

Okay, I guess this hasn't gone down as well as I expected.

The whole idea I was thinking off when I wrote the OP was an absurd proposition that no one could truly get behind, and to have people try and argue the pros and cons of such an idea.

I don't think that came through as well as I thought.

So yeah. I went pro hunting...I don't really condone the needless slaughter of innocent celebrities, no matter how empty and talentless I personally think they are.

Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe need to go.

    Congratulations.

You just wrote a shitty 80's action movie.

    Somebody call Dolph Lundgren.

    I might watch it.

If Jean Claude was doing split kicks blind after sand was thrown in his eyes.

While a White Snake power ballad played.

And the female lead with the perm who was wearing his jean jacket spunkily kicked the evil henchmen holding her prisoner in the shins, and then escaped.

I was thinking more along the lines of Series 7: The Contenders

Now hang on there, pardner. Russell Crowe is needed for the sequel to Master And Commander that needs to be made.

This is a Bill Hicks routine as well. I believe it was 'Let's Hunt and Kill Billy Ray Cyrus' upon which he mused.

    That was a terrible movie.

I don't care how much some people liked the books.

Comparing Wild Hogs to Master and Commander is like comparing apples with fire hydrants. They are not the same. One is a horrible and irredeemable piece of crud and one is Master and Commander.

In all seriousness though, no matter how many times we see Deathrace or Running Man, I really don't know if we'll ever get to a point where we will actually be televising murder for sport. The entire country shit their pants when two thirds of Janet Jackson's boob was exposed on Television, I doubt any network is going to be getting away with televised violence of that magnitude anytime soon.

The loneliness of the human condition fills me. I have looked on the face of my fellow man and failed to recognize the spark of a shared intelligence.

If you walk away I'll walk away - but first tell me which road you will take. I don't want to risk our paths crossing someday.

I pray you, you this way and I that way.

So be it. I leave with a heavy heart, not just for myself and my sadness in finding confusion where I sought communication, but for you also, trapped as you must be in a prison of your own making.

    Adieu.

Yes, but that was NUDITY not violence. Violence seems to be given more leeway than sex.
