Hey Capcom, if the SF4 bonus in SSF4 is actually good, I will give you money (for SF4). Why don't you go ahead and announce what that bonus is so you can (possibly) get my money? Because the closer to SSF4's release, the less likely I am to be willing to part with my money for the non-superific version.
I've shambled into SFIV threads and asked similar queries, but does anyone have experience with the XFPS ps2->360 adapter or any like products? I'm still inclined to just not buy a new stick since I have one.
i've used an XFPS with a PS1 controller for SF4; in fact, it was what I used until Christmas when I got a TE stick. It's very serviceable, and the lag isn't as bad as previously mentioned, but I think there is a split second of lag. You'll be completely able to play and react to your opponents, but landing link combos or anything where a single frame or two is vital to execution is extremely, extremely difficult.
I also had significant problems like the controlling ceasing to work even while still being detected, or deciding that I would walk to the right regardless of my inputs. These are solved by unplugging and replugging it, but it still fucks with your game.
In addition, it requires a wired 360 controller. The charge pack cord won't work with it. And the newest 360 controllers don't work with it, so you'll need a 3rd party controller or an older wired first party controller.
I would suggest that you just buy a stick. The total price of a controller and the adapter is around the same as a TE stick.
I guess you are right, neither does Fei. It would be nice if they added a zoom so it felt more like a traditional command grab.
Although, could it be because he shoots the guy out, could it be that the command grab is more of a spacing tool? I wonder if you could tag the opponent on the way down in the corner? The vs Juri trailer could have definitely used some more experimenting with his move properties.

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.
I wonder if you can Ultra-II the opponent on the way down in the corner.
This. I was thinking myself about how else to land U2. Because if you can only land it on jump-ins it would be super weak.

The lag is comparable to playing on a bad LCD. Enough that you notice, but not so bad that you can't adapt. For reference, using it with a PS2 pad we were able to pull off inputs with a 2-3 frame window after warming up for ~5 minutes. I personally find it distracting, and I can't play on laggy LCDs either. But I have a very low tolerance for lag in any game.
Considering the cost, though, you're better off buying a new stick or pad unless you're getting the XFPS for really cheap. I know mine was at least $60 new, and my horis were about $40.
One of my friends spent well over $100 to have a 360 pad stuffed into a dualshock case. It's a really cool mod job.
Seems like they have a hard time balancing Guile, probably because he is such a simlpe character but giving him additional tools wouldn't really make sense or something. I dunno.
I still think they should have just Remmy'd up Guile for SSF4. Give him high and low sonic booms, give him a dive kick. Give him a projectile spam super, etc.

That might be a hell of a lot better, give him some more specific boomage use, or a diving flash kick..I mean guys really, give him SOMETHING.
Anyways, who the hell thought up Hakan? He is possibly the most retarded character I've seen in ages. I mean...OILY death guys? Really? Why don't we just add in a freakin' OILY tornado?

Man, I actually quite like this last character and he's not really anything at all like I expected. I wonder if that oil is flammable to Dhalsim.
I like the new characters, it's just too bad they couldn't put as much thought into the boss character. Seth is so lame.

Dude loves the slip n slide.
They should have just released this still (in full quality) a few days ago and let us speculate.
I am dying over here
Holy fuck.
Game of the Year. No, of the mullenium.

Also, when he whiffed a grab his oiled up state went away.
I'll play you in 3S! But that's not what you meant =/

Make that three.
Good lord, I had an idea but....Hakan...

Anyone want to beta read a paranormal mystery novella? Here's your chance.

Actually I change my mind. Hakan is an endless source of hilarious screen caps.
He's deep fried.

I love you.
Zangief looks like a TF2 character in Garry's Mod during Hakan's Ultra-II
I absolutely can't wait to see Hakan's alt costume. (or Ibuki's)
EDIT:
I'm coining the term "Dangief" for Hakan.
A good thing to wake up to, that's for sure.
Goddamn juri's voice is baaaad.
"Why you-" x N
You know, if ultra 2 works just by people touching him while in the air it's gonna be so good. Looks like his dash dodges high attacks too.
Seriously. I wish Cammy and Fei Long's Ultra 2s worked like that.
