his rockets are so great for harrassing and finishing kills
the yucky stuff between that where teams battle isn't so great unless its on your turrets or you are very savvy with grenades but damned if he can't murder doods
Yeah I ended up playing heimer for the first time since his nerf waaaaay back last night and was pleasantly surprised. His grenades and missiles do a very respectable amount of damage in team fights, he has a stun and even without luring people into turret nests late game I could pop one down in a team fight, ult it and have an instant 190+ damage 1.25 attacks per second turret helping my dps.
He doesn't seem to be nearly as bad as everyone (including me) said he was
Some of your guys are crazy. A few pages back I mentioned how surprised I was that people were spending $10 to buy an exclusive Ryse skin from me on ebay. Lost all but one of them at that price, so I decided to put the last one as auction only.
The damn thing just sold for twenty six dollars. I could have increased my profit by 150% if I posted them all as $25 purchases, but that's my loss. Who pays that much for a damn character skin??

I think Heimer's a lot like Eve. He has a very niche role that he's good at, he's can harass and last hit like a champ, and he can be outright dangerous if he manages to snowball a mejai (easier for him, because it isn't difficult to get assists with Heimer).
Even when he gets some beefy AP, though, he doesn't bring much to a teamfight or a tower push, which makes him much less useful after the early game and ganking phases.
In other news, I'm finding that I'm not losing games much anymore when I play as Fiddles. He's just too easy to snowball into a super-carry and completely wreck people with. Even when I have a feeder or two on my team, it doesn't stop me from murdering people in 5v5s and surprise ganks. I think people just don't know how to deal with him... everyone's so used to relying on Flash and sticking together in 5-man gank squads to win games that they can't wrap their heads around alternative strategies. (Fiddles punishes the fuck out of people who take Flash over Cleanse and teams that stick too close together).
Maybe once I get to a higher ELO where people start taking Cleanse and using wards/Clairvoyance to monitor my hiding spots, I'll be humbled, but in my current ELO it's good to be Fiddles.

Hey Nisi
Also: We are moved in and I GOT MY INTERWEBS BACK!! I am so playing later tonight. I've been wanting to try some Warwick, and of course the week he's free I can't even play most of it...
Even the prices for standard skins are crazy retarded. There are people nuts enough to buy that stuff but I think they'd make more money from a higher quantity of sales if they were reasonable. Same goes for all the other money costs really.

At High Elo, there is no such thing as a surprise gank, as players generally 'know' where everyone is (map sighting, wards relaying info about where people were last seen). The game then becomes one of positioning battles, trying to catch the other team out of position at lizard/golem/dragon/baron. Thus, the staring contest that is the mainstay at high Elo.
How this relates to fiddle is that you must have constant (and I mean constant) awareness of everyone's position relative to your own because stunned out of your ult can mean a lost game. Also, Alistar is one of your most annoying opponents due to his headbutt pushing you away.
There we are, a quick summary of how to play Fiddle at high Elo.
Ninja: Most people don't take cleanse at high Elo (unless their hero requires it), instead preferring to use map awareness to make sure they are never out of position.
i loves me some heimer, been playing him all weekend because you guys were talking about him all the time and my champion ADD flared up again even though i've gone on a heimer-binge before
and you know what the most awesome thing to do is
owning the shit out of a guy who trash talks really early because he got first blood on your teammate (and then makes fun of that teammate's name) and ending up with the teammate he killed and i going legendary while destroying their team
then making fun of his name
i always hate when there is a guy who does this same thing and i lose but he started it
so i had to make him sad that he was a gigantic dick
So me and some dudes on vent are thinking about starting up a LoL podcast. No name yet though. But I was wondering if there was anyone here who has some kind of history with running a pod cast that could help get this off the ground. Were probably thinking of doing a 3 or 4 man group. It all depends on who is interested, I already have people in mind.
Alistar is my guy now. Had a lot of fun killin with trynd and blitz, but Healcow wins games with a crappy team.
Just gotta do without the glory :P
I find myself not doing so great with Alistar as I once did during the beta season, I think it's because of the runes. But what's glory compared to destroying their turret while the half the enemy team are wailing on you and surviving to tell the tale.

I cannot imagine the type of computer required to pull a 1:00+ load time.
Anyway, what do you guys think of Mordekaiser vs. the big undead tank that is freely available right now?
The one with cannabalism.
I've done "OK" with both. The undead one seems to have obvious teamwork potential with a stun... but Mordekaiser can render himself unkillable basically with the right items... but doesn't seem to have the best damage output.
In search of a character worth unlocking... haven't really enjoyed anything except tanks.

The champion you're thinking of is Sion. And to be honest, I prefer Sion any day. AP Lichbane Sion can be hilariously potent, and with cannibalism it's literally almost impossible to lose in a 1v1 unless you are stunlocked or outclassed to a hilarious degree.
I think I agree. Sion was very strong in the early game especially due to that strong stun... then I rampaged with the Ulti... I think he bottomed out around 15 or so though.. but I also died more than I should have.
I've been playing with a couple of long-time internet buddies and we are looking for two more regulars to play with. We are all relatively new but if anyone is looking for a regular squad of people to play with, add Jasconius to your friends list.
The only advantage Mordekaiser seems to have over Sion is early game harassing. Sion just seems to be a better champion in general with his crazy damage and evil evil stun. The guy can molest towers unchecked.
edit: You could try looking on the PA vent Jas? That's where I go when I have pertinent questions that need answering immediately (Twisted Fate, should I feel bad for picking him?)

Mordkaiser is a beast and can tank AND kill three heroes at once by himself
Maybe it's because I play a tank, but I'm honestly not getting how Mord could kill three heroes at once. Even assuming a huge level/gear advantage... couldn't they just leave?
Mord's damage has never been something I've needed to worry about when calculating a team fight's odds.

Heimer is the most useless champion ever. It feels like a 4v5 every time he's on my team.
I enjoyed playing alongside him
And I just lost to a team with Heimer.
I think I'm just going to stop playing this game for the rest of the night.

and by fantastic I mean fucking stupid and angering.
the only way i can stand you nerds

Let me state, on the record, that I heartily encourage people to give me money and I support their decision to do so.

One of them was 16-0 right up until the 42 minute mark when his Nexus fell because he couldn't do anything anymore.
If he had been playing any other champion they would have won, it was that close.
he went all turret ranks
i went all rockets/nades
guess who won THAT mid battle
nobody?
You know what kicks some fucking ass? Amumu + Fiddlesticks.
Amumu ultimate + fiddlesticks life drain = EVERYTHING DIES
it also helps when Amumu has 3k HP

Therefore I don't use him.
I can attest to this personally.
Sion's stun is definitely very useful and he can put out some mean damage but Mordekaiser is nuts with his easily spammable AOE.
cue confusion.
why you killin' pretty animals, dawg?
Mord's damage has never been something I've needed to worry about when calculating a team fight's odds.
just sayin
mordekaiser ult + ignite on their stupid high DPS ashe makes a 5v5 into a 6v4 where mord is a mean bastard that refuses to die
