I'm so happy that the new champ is a tank. Now at least some of my games will have tanks in them. Sure, some people are going DPS Shen and only using the ult as a teleport back to lane, but can't expect much.

For some reason I suffer from occasional urges to troll the official forums for this game, though I've been resisting them. I've wanted to post a "Does Tiamat's splash apply on-hit effects like Tiamat's splash?" thread for a while, but now I also want to post a thread titled "LoL needs more support heroes and Shen should be more like a ninja". The post would consist of two otherwise coherent posts interleaved together, with every sentence consisting of two clauses seperated by "and", with the first clause arguing that support abilities are good, and the second arguing that Shen's support abilities are bad.

she can get some early kills with her icicle but by the end she pretty much needs to be near her team all the time and the icicle doesnt feel like as great a finisher
maybe my damage output was due to only having two rods of ages buuut shut up
Wow, check out this supreme butthurt from my team mate. It's worth noting that he died in the last thirty seconds of the game after the entire enemy team said "gg" but before they surrendered 5/0. I had also just said "I'm going to hide in the brush for a minute, talking to girlfriend on the phone."
If he survived for a minute, why didn't he fucking run?
Once the free champs have rotated I'm going to start trying new champs. I've pretty much mastered playing Pantheon and have unlocked him so I can pwn when I want to. Maybe I'll try a ranged dps.

Please please please do that. I really like the two thread one post concept. Maybe something about the game needing more global teleports while also raging that TF is unbalanced.

I dunno, Anivia's Ult + Frostbite + Flash Frost + Frostbite is a pretty nasty combo at any stage in the game-- CC and damage out the wazoo. I've seen some people totally wreck shit with her: Anivia pwnage
(Bear in mind that this guy only has a RoA and Sorc Shoes through most of the video. Also, pardon the shitty music, I watch this on mute.)
I think the trick to pwning with Anivia is knowing when to use her ult (i.e. constantly, but only for one or two seconds at a time) and being able to land her skillshot consistently. IMO she's also a great champ to build a Mejai on -- she's pretty good at snagging assists while not putting herself in danger.
The only thing that consistently pisses me off when I play Anivia is, shock of shock, bad teammates. Hey Jax, you're the fucking Tank/DPS hybrid, how about you not sprint away with full heath while two angry enemies chase down my slowpoke ass and kill me...

Is it wrong that I am not getting mad kills at AP Sion? I seem to be the first or second one to get targeted. Assists are not a problem but my kills are generally dead even with my deaths. Usually meaning I am going in for the suicide kill and hoping my team mops up.
Just played my first game of the day, Shen on both teams.
Theirs..I dunno, did some stupid taunt dash moves that ended up getting him killed a few times.
Ours built dodge boots and Warmogs first, and absolutely wrecked shit.
I think they need to tweak taunt dash because as of now it uses too much energy even if you hit a champion. I wonder if you can recover more energy if you hit multiple champions with it. It's such a sweet move though, I can do it all day long :whistle:
Edit: Anyone know a good jungling build for Shen? I thought I could do it but failed miserably.

(I haven't flown since I was three and have never traveled out of state alone. Anxious! Excited! Having to use the bathroom frequently! And I only got four hours of sleep last night and have to stay away until at least around noon tomorrow if I'm lucky and I can check in at my hotel early!)

Always knew Shaco + fort pot was broken early game, but it took tonight to really shine.
Game starts, Eve and I head out against a Ryze. After a bit of back and forth, a level 2 shaco pops out of the brush and kills both of us with his fort potion. Ignite, Ryze prison, no chance. None whatsoever. No defense could have helped us against that.
We come back. It repeats for another double kill, this time with a tower dive included.
He simply deals too much damage (and is unkillable) with a fort potion initially, and basic competence allows him a guaranteed double kill against any but the most able compositions.
Unsurprisingly, Riot hasn't touched this fact for several patches.
(edit) I was playing as Mundo, of all characters. I took two fort-shaco hits and an ignite tick. That's all.

the first 30 minutes were us losing horribly, bottom fed chogath til 6 stacks of feast and by level 12 they had one of our inhibs down because he was fucking towerdiving us and feasting and walking away licking blood off his fingers since the towers only tickled him
next 15 minutes as we try to push mid they are backdooring as hard as they possibly can, sivir is going everywhere we aren't like a good sivir tends to do, and before we know it we're defending 3 inhibs

we take control of the game after killing 3 or 4 of them when they try to push while we waited for our inhibs to respawn... ok not really take control but we pushed into their base and took out THEIR inhibitors, and during all this in their base their pantheon had ult'd down to bottom and was killing our three inhibs again, and we had managed to kill their nexus towers, and we had to go back to protect OUR base, and it was a huge defendfest for a while
finally we started to push out, and when we got to the center so did the other team, and a teamfight got initiated (we had a great alistar too which helped)
i immediately tell our TF to gate behind their nexus and we win it
easily the meanest thing ever but whatevs, that nunu was fucking trashtalking the whole game
he deserved it
(btdubs i totally went legendary in this game til the very end)

Yesterday I had 2 games with insane shacos. Basically doing what you posted there. They just hopped from lane to lane racking up kills at lvl 1-5. Once the other team got up to around lvl 5-6 they were able to beat him off / escape. But yeah he's a menace at lvl 1-2
Suuuuuch a long game. Ended after the other team realized they could just burst me, mundo, down and feast on everyone else as they ran in panic. Was doing fine until the last... 20 minutes when I died way to often trying to distract/buy time/protect weaklings only to have no one even try to capitalize on it.
Ended up being called retarded by our tristana who's main contribution after winning us some early team fights was to run to the other end of the map whenever we saw the enemy. Fair enough, I guess had I ran more I could've won the game by.... running?

To be fair, I was able to do the same thing pre-Jax buff..I just rarely survived doing so.
AP Champs still burn Jax to the ground. Doesn't matter how much health you have if you're stunlocked to oblivion.
