I have one of every class, profession and race (on two different servers obviously and mostly not at 80).

Except undead, I will never make an undead.

I'll probably be making a worgen priest and worgen warrior. I know neither is good use of their skinning ability but ehhhhhh. Probably make one or both alchemists for more tran$mute$!

Taurens are already in the game to appeal to those people.

Besides, wolves are way cooler than cows, so it's all fine.

I share your dislike. It is hurting me to think that the only race open to me (I don't really like Troll mages) when I faction transfer my mage is... shudders.. Belf. :(

At least they have cool caster animations and look better in robes than Trolls. D:

Right, they want to specifically cater to that market, despite them being already present in the world and there being a valid lore reason for them to be there and werewolves generally being pretty awesome. And despite cows and space goats already being available for people who really get off on that sort of thing.

Goblins are a natural race to add in that I always thought should be there but now that it's happening I can't bring myself to be excited. I'm glad the horde is finally getting a tiny race I suppose.

Who else was there to join the Alliance apart from the Worgen? Goblins were obvious for the Horde (as well as Ogres) but there doesn't seem to be the same secondary races that favour the Alliance.

Pandarens would be a much more natural fit for the Horde due to the Orc campaign in The Frozen Throne.

I have always wanted pandaren but that can't happen.

Centaurs are at war with the horde but they don't like anyone else either and they're really stupid and brutish.

    Furbolg would be totally natural.

They could've always delivered another ally from space I guess!

    Maybe alliance could get Naaru!

Worgen have a far, far better lore reason to be there than Draenai do. The Draenai are one giant walking retcon, not that I really care that much.

On another subject, I was trying to finish out my Icecrown: The Final Goal this weekend (I just never finished it, been 80 forever) and I had nothing but G5 quests left and I was sort of frustrated. So I got brave and decided to try and solo some of them. 13 "Group 5" quests later, I have my achievement. What a joke, these are seriously supposed to be done by groups of five?

To be fair, I'm a Blood DK in T7/T8 gear, so I had some advantage, but still.

Some classes can solo things ridiculously easy. Blood DKs are one of them.

Some other classes couldn't solo a fly.

Yah, I'm aware, and I have been soloing elites since I rolled my DK the day WoTLK released, we've always been able to do it. It's not that I could do it that shocked me, it's that the quests are marked G5. Not a single one was hard enough to require 5 people. Even for a class that can't solo well, one, max two, other people could do those quests easy.

Tricky to do when they're in a country that doesn't play by the same laws. Short of encouraging the rest of the world to cut them off the internet, which... yeah.

That whole "Group 5" thing was put in basically when spirit was a viable stat for warriors. It's basically in the code "What are the minimum amount of mouth breathers needed to complete this quest." It's got some fancy equation behind it, but, that's what it boils down to.

Actually, one race that I could just about see working - for either side, even - could be a splinter group of friendly Naga. Given their history I could see them approaching the Night Elves due to their association with them, or the Horde due to the Night Elves shunning them, either could work.

And let's be honest, the racials pretty much write themselves. Downside: No legs.

Also, Ethereals. Are there *any* in Wrath at all? Are they just being quietly swept under the carpet?

So I hear there's one in Violet Hold?

I should have remembered, way back at 80 in blues I was just starting to tank heroics, we kicked off with Violet Hold, we thought it'd be easy but this guy just completely owned me. I've still no idea why, probably missed a key mechanic of his.

Whaaaa...? Since when? I recently came back to the game after a 5-month hiatus and when I left Blizz was swearing up and down that race changes weren't going to happen, at least not anytime soon.

I don't get why people are talking about how they'll have to wait to level their new worgen/goblin whatever. Why not just get started now and race change when the xpac hits?

Also the Naga hate the absolute shit out of the night elves. Like, a lot.

If they were to join a side, it'd likely be the Horde for the same reason most of the other races join the Horde. Because their home was destroyed and they would be completely fucked otherwise.

Naw, some kind of turtle mount would make more sense. Especially if it had increased swim speed.
