I'm playing Vanguard on Insanity and I'm pretty much following one rule: if Charge is up, I use it. The only exception is if I'm dealing with Ymir Mechs, then it can be suspended. I'm about 4 recruitment quests in and have died all of once, so it's working for me so far.

Any other way of playing Vanguard is the wrong way.

How do u not die instantly? My shields evaporate instantly when I'm out in the open.

I'm on my second run, going with Vanguard now. Get Barrier as your Advanced Training ability and watch them try to fight back from a full blown Charge.

    Use charge again.

Ding ding ding. You get 100% shields when you charge (at least with Heavy Charge), so you just charge, shotgun/punch some guy to death as fast as you can, take some quick cover and then Charge again, getting another 100% shields. You just have to make sure when you charge that you pick someone on the outside of the group, and that there's a little bit of cover near where you end up. That's it! I mean, you don't do it to Scions because that would be ridiculous, but against about anything else just let er rip.

So I finally finished my first playthrough last night (holy shit btw), and am looking to start fresh but with an evil character this time around.

I played a soldier the first time around, and I was already bored with it about halfway through the game.

This time, I am really excited about trying out 2 classes, and was wondering if I could get some input on which ones are the most fun/effective for the harder modes of the game.

Vanguard is the one I was looking at first. The warp ability just looks fun as hell, although I can see it getting me killed a lot if I warp into a group of enemies.

Adept looked pretty awesome from the youtube videos showing the class abilities, but I have no idea how viable it is on the higher difficulty levels, or how repetative those abilities get over time.

    Any recommendations?

On Insanity (and I think Hardcore, I skipped that one) every enemy after the prologue has at least one special defense (Armor/Shields/Barrier). You can, of course, supplement yourself with team members with Warp/Overload/Incinerate/Whatever, but I found playing as a Sentinel really helped.

I found by the end it helped to take in a team expressly designed at destroying those defenses. 3 Overload guys on Blue Sun and Geth Levels, 3 Warp Guys and Squad Warp Ammo on Collector, Eclipse and Blood Pack Levels

Uhhh, was looking at this info on the site linked from the OP:

Don't click unless you've beaten the game.
After beating the game, you can invite your love interest up to the captain's cabin and have them rest with you or simply be in your room. Kelly Chambers will dance for you after beating the game.

How is that possible? Kelly Chambers gets liquified at the end of the game, so I don't see how she'd be around to dance for me. Right?

    You know when
the Collectors bust into the Normandy, kidnap the crew and Joker plugs in the Overlord? And then everyone's like "we should go get our crew back". It turns out that going off and doing something else means the Collectors get their freak on with your crew and start melting them, and that the correct answer is to immediately show the Collectors what happens when you piss Shepard off.

On a related note, is it just me or does it feel damn great doing nothing but renegade conversation options at the end of the game? They all feel so right.

You know, people have complained that a perfect run is too easy to do, but I think it says something that when this game tells you people will die if you don't do things right or hurry up, people will actually die. Too many games with scripted impossible missions.

How do you invite your love interest to your bed? I've talked to Tali post-game and it's still the dialog before the big romance moment ("I can't tell you how much what you said means to me, etc").

Also, does this mean Kelly can only get sexed after you finish the game?

    regarding post-story shenanigans:
I romanced kelly as much as one could during the game, but later pursued Tali as well. Now that I've finished, I can only invite tali up. Am I to assume that getting kelly upstairs requires you to not romance any of the other options?

gotcha. Also, I just had a cool idea regarding tal's post. What if, during the suicide mission:
You could opt to have shepard lead the fire team, or be the engineer in the vents, or be the biotic holding the shield up? It would be an interesting change in gameplay, where you would have to order your teammates to open the vents for you, or move yourself to a defensible position while maintaining a biotic bubble. Of course to not fail horribly your shepard would have to be an engineer/adept.

    Ha, awesome.
As cute as Tali is when you're flirting with her, watching her cuddle up with Shepard just looks so....freaky. It's the hands.

Also, does this mean that no actual sexing of Chambers occcurs, and just get a stripper dance from her?

Through various machinations my list of highly likely returnees is Miranda, Jacob, Grunt, he-who-cannot-be-named, Garrus and Tali.

Though there are good reasons Tali would not still be on the team - the first 5 though don't really have anything better to do then kill stuff with Shepard.
