I had my Zubat in the lead so I switched to Gastly for Mean Look + Hypnosis and... fuck just fucking shit. The first shiny I have ever encountered since fucking original Gold.
I caught a shiny Golbat once. Didn't really do anything with it, though.

My first shiny was a Girafarig in the Safari Zone, but I caught that one. I also found a shiny Weezing, but I masterballed that one before it could explode. And then, for some reason I can never fathom, I gave my game to someone. Still kicking myself.
If someone creates a miracle foolproof medicine that is a cure for the common cold, cancer and loneliness but it has the minor side effects of explosive diarrhea, uncontrollable bleeding from the eyes and murder-fugues, that's not a total 'resounding' success.

I don't know why they don't make a male version though, just remove the baby from the sprite.

I've figured it out. The reason there's no baby Kangas, and all Kangas you can catch are female: it's not a baby in the pouch, but the male of the species. Like the angler fish, it attaches itself to the much larger female, becoming a single entity.

So I finally tried out the Pokewalker after that link posted last page clarified the requirements for getting certain Pokes. It's actually cooler than I thought it'd be - I'm definitely carrying it around in my pocket tomorrow.
The pokewalker is awesome with my job, im in a kitchen walking around all day, the average shift i get over 20k steps, caught some dratini, and some elekid already and over 8k saved watts
Once that pikachu forest comes out hopefully i will have flying surfing pikachus for all .

Soft resetting for a good red gyarados at the moment, here's my latest candidate:

Just like my last candidate, high hp and speed, good all around, but attack is low for a physical bruiser. Though after Dragon Dance, it may not matter.

The whole checking on your pokemon following you around thing is pretty silly, in a good way.
I just beat a trainer, and chatted with good ol' Nidoran(M), and he stares right at the trainer for a second... and then it says, "Nidoran is staring at nothing at all." Oooo, sick burn Nido

Fucking rocking my Zubat for so long and I let it evolve to Golbat after it picked up Aerial Ace. One level after that, it evolves to Crobat. So I now have Quilava, Poliwhirl, Crobat, and Alakazam as my heavy hitters.
Of course right after I get Crobat I get a call from Joey about how his Rattata is in the top percentage of Rattatas.

Or another way to put it; Anytime a pokemon gets EXP they get full EVs from the fight.
