The amount of time he spends keeping this forum in line is pretty amazing, considering he does it for free. I wouldn't have been surprised if it turned out he was being compensated for his services.

I figured that, every month, they shipped him a fresh supply.

PA probably does have an internal porn collection in the same way a software development company would have a collection of libraries and classes. It's the oil to the corporate machine.

Wow. This is the first time I've run across a flash ad that is not strippable by adblock plus.
Or at least, stripping it out is beyond my abilities. Some don't play right away, but usually its a simple matter of allowing some harmless object subrequests and they play without playing the ad forever after.
This one loops indefinitely on beacon. indieclick
Goddamn internet advertising is evolving.
Ah well, there is always the good ol' mute/minimize.

Can't get this one to play at all. Tried it in Firefox and IE.

It's one thing to block an ad. It's a whole other thing to talk about the lengths you went to in trying to block someone's ad on their own forum.

The latter is kind of assholish.
Yeah, that is rude. Either watch the adds or don't. In the mean time, spare us all the goosey commentary.

One of 2 things are going to happen
1. You're all going to quit fucking whining about the ads that pay for the free content you enjoy every day
2. Things around here are going to get dark
Framling on
you're = you are
your = belonging to you
their = belonging to them
there = not here
they're = they are
Sorry, I was just amazed that it finally happened.
Anyway, I like the series, but as with other people, even when I turn Noscript and Adblock plus off, I still have issues with the video. It won't play past approx 7:30.
Usually waiting a couple days fixes any issues I've had so far, so I'm thinking it might be a bandwidth/traffic issue.
And Tube is a pretty ok admin. I'm assuming he gets paid. If not, he must be using us for some dark purpose, otherwise we would be intolerable.
Actually, if you plot the geographic coordinates of every person Tube has banned in his career as PA admin, then connect the dots just so, it forms a magical seal which, if ever completed, will plunge the world into darkness and allow him to ascend to godhood.

as it was prophesied in the Tubecronomicon
The hellishly evil book with a funny name!
I also enjoyed that they picked a guy at random. they had no idea who he was, they never even watched his video!
i don't know how to add an exception to adblock. when you right click to add soemthing there's lots of options, but if you go into the adblock settings and try to do anything, ti's very simplistic and no exceptions are visiable at all.
but at least it works
edit- ok works. added these three, but I think it's the two indieclicks that are needed:
I am baffled that some pages still use pop-up ads. Also, who clicks on those ones that sweep across the screen in front of what you're browsing? On purpose, I mean.
I don't know which I hate worse, those that rollout and have sound, or those that highlight certain words in the body of text and popup little windows if your mouse clips them. Those are awful.
Pika, I just click the little down arrrow next to adblock and check the "disable on penny-arcade.com" option. That seems to get everything necessary whitelisted.

Also this was the best 4th panel yet.
Which is bad because they're pretty much polar opposites.
What with one being a sodomite, and the other condemning them to hell.
he only talks about slim jims and wanting hulk hogan to be a man
it's hard to get him confused with someone else
oooh yeah

There is a lot of adblock software out there, but Adblock Plus seems to be the most popular one I've found. This works by whitelisting pages when you visit penny-arcade.com.
I will take a look at building an optional "PA Megacorp Whitelist" adblock which I pinky swear will only impact ads on our domains.
I can understand for when you're browsing certain places
but the ads pay for the content
and here, they're tailor picked by the proprietors of the site as products or services they personally endorse
I am not such a busy man that I can't sit through a fifteen second advertisement for something in order to pay my due for content I enjoy
I mainly use it to be able to read online newspapers without a billion ads jumping in my face
