I'm new around here so I thought I would say hi by posting some of my art. I hope you guys like having me because this seems like a really good art community and I plan to stick around.
Heya mate, welcome to the AC!!!
I like these images, particularly the hulk smash one (lthe texture overlay works really well)
Great composition on the nija chick.
The bottom one also looks cool, but i'm not sure that the leaf texture overlay is working. I'd experiment more with something more like rock. ATM the leafs distracting from the illustration.
I am also a big fan of the hulk image! It has a nice sense of dynamic movement.
I like the first as well, but I think it would be better if her hair ribbon blade thingees followed the line of attack. They don't quite express the fluid action she is making.
Haha no. You are the first person to ever say that:) I can kinda see where you are coming from but nah, it's just his helmet and the way the light is hitting it.

It's funny, because it's the first thing I thought when I saw it, too.
the mask portion of iron man's helmet protrudes from the cranium portion. since your light source is coming from below (eyes, chest, hands), light wouldn't be caught by that edge. Showing light caught on that edge implies that there is a cap or visor-like feature extending further out than the mask.
also, the bulge on the back of the helmet needs to be trimmed away because that is the other part that causes it to read as a beret.
beautiful poses!! nice action lines too.
your spiderman is a bit stiff in the torso though. would be nice to see a little bit of pull from the back arm, since that webbing is holding his weight -or- have him leaning into the action of his front arm, just to make it a bit more dynamic.
I really enjoy the hulk ones! you've got a knack for silhouettes!
Fuck it's been too long since I posted art up here.
I was on a bit of a Street Fighter kick for a while and did a bunch of sketches. So here is a Street Fighter Sketch dump. Each of these are done in Photoshop with my Wacom in under an hour.
AAah man those are pretty nice. The Sagat one stands above the rest, but I also like the looks of your Dhalsim. The first one just doesn't seem anatomically correct, no matter how dynamic or stylized. I think its because it looks like the torso is rendered very short or practically nonexistent.
These remind me of a cross between the official SSF4 art and those really cool Super Mario Strikers concept sketches. Either way cool stuff mate.
I thought the torso was fine. Heaven knows I've seen photos where the anatomy looks far more blatantly effed up than this, so I'd feel comfortable chalking it up to magical perspective. One thing about it though; is the ponytail on the far side of her head coming out the top of the skull? If not, you probably wouldn't be able to see her ponytail holder, and the hair would be emerging from probably lower down her head. Aside from that though, love the colours and pose.
I thought of Mario Strikers as well. It would be nice to see some character interaction and maybe some backgrounds, if that's outside your comfort zone. I'm a storyboard artist in training, so I like a bit of narrative salt on my pin-ups.

This one was inspired by the Hulk Smash drawing I did.
