So far my SC2 plans are to enjoy the campaign, own face in multiplayer for a few months, and then proceed to retire to SC2 UMS maps and SC1 melee. Best of both worlds.

Someone just tried that fortress rush thing on me in a 1v1 placement match. I lifted off, moved my CC to an island, tech'd air and won. Yay Terran.

This is infuriating. The battlechest I purchased a year ago when I wanted to play starcraft again, which I left in my brother's room, has absolutely everything including CD's, prima guides, the tech tree foldout, but no keys. Where are they god damnit. ARrrghhh....

they aren't on the back of the CD cases? I'm pretty sure broodwar doesn't have a key it uses the one from the install of the original.

Brood War doesn't have a CD key, but the CD key for regular Star Craft from the Battle Chest is on the jewel case, on the back. lower right corner. If it's not there....DOH.

I had this problem with the NWN Diamond pack I bought. The CD-Key was on the manual, which I promptly lost.

Probably the best soft rock I've heard. Sounds like I'll need some more drugs to appreciate it.

Just for the sake of argument / comparison:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcEHDqji74A&feature=related

I have no doubt in my mind that Blizzard has orchestrated some of the finest Starcraft music for the sequel. The remixes will hopefully put Smash Bros. Brawl to shame.

And I'm sure that there will be more than one theme for each race, I took it for granted until I just searched for the Terran theme, I thought it was all one big track in my head.

Talking about the music and thinking about the map editor really makes me wish for an open beta. Not that map editor is in the beta, but I like to think about it.

Are Hydralisks actually that good against Terran infantry, or did Mind just have a total breakdown of focus firing? It looked like shots were hitting everything.

Hydras are way, way better in SC2

e: Also, Mutas are crazy good. They are fast as hell. If you have some resources built up, you can pop out 10 or so at once, and have them anywhere on the map within 10 secs.

They either need to be slower, or have their cost upped.

Yeah. I mean, they are a tier 2 unit and cost more now so they better be pretty good.

I'm amazed out how strong the Protoss ground game is in SC2. I wonder if any ground force could hope to beat a force comprised of immortals and colossi. Of course, such an army can't shoot air but to have such a dominant ground v ground force is impressive.

I feel like they need to do something with the Zerg queen spit larvae move. Like, don't get me wrong, it's a very good move and all but it feels so mindless compared to the Protoss' Chrono Boost and the Terran's Orbital Command + add-on hot swapping.

Yeah. The ability is always the same thing. Costs 25 mana, can be used on a hatch every 40 sec, 25 mana recharges is 40 seconds, can only be used on hatcheries, should always be used every 40 seconds on every hatchery you own. It's just a formality, you're pretty much required to do it if you want to win with zerg. There is no better, worse, or different way to use it.
