Don't get me wrong though, the GL should stay in game. I love it. I just feel like you should have to be standing still to shoot it. You hit 3 and if you move it should put it away. That way it retains its function as Guy-in-a-window-F'er and Wall Destroyer, but loses the gamey tactics associated with it.

Easier, simpler, and much more realistic solution...

The grenades don't arm for a pre-determined time period. Real grenade launchers these days are electronically armed so that they don't blow up in the operators face, or if they shoot at something too close it doesn't kill them too.

There IS an arming distance in this game. If you die from someone's grenade launcher at close range, it's most likely because they tagged you with the slug itself, not any resulting explosion.

Must only be in multiplayer. Because in single I shot a grenade launcher, mis judged where I was crouched, and it blew up on the wall I was taking cover behind. Less than a foot of distance between me and the wall

When Dusda, HyperAquaBlast and I were playing on Nelson Bay last night, we got pushed all the way back to B on the last stage, and held them off for the win, really good comm. When we switched to attackers, we had the last bomb doing the fast tick with one ticket left, and we lost. Do you lose a ticket immediately when you die? That's the only thing I can think of that caused us to lose.

Anyway, I'll chip in on spamming RPG's at MCOM's when I'm attacking. I do wish anyone of those passing assault would just drop a damn ammo box by me every once in a while
I'm pretty sure that the match ends if the tickets drop to zero, even if an MCOM is ticking down. I find that really unfortunate, because we had that damn thing locked down right at the end, with around five people guarding it inside.

There is no way they would have won otherwise.

I'm not sure what's up with the GL launchers. I shot a dude in the crotch from about 6 feet away yesterday with it, and it killed him, but the grenade did not explode.

Be honest, if you got shot in the balls with a 140mm 1 lbs. slug of metal from 6 feet away, would you really be able to even breath, stand, live?

I never understood that. In previous battlefield games once the tickets dropped to 0 you had to clear out the remaining stragglers before the game ended. In this, even if you have a solid opportunity to take another area in rush which gives you more tickets, the game ends as soon as you have no respawns left. Makes no fucking sense to me.

I'm just saying the lack of explosion was the confusing part, not the 'him being dead' part :P

One thing I wish they would have put in the game is half thrown grenades should drop to the ground and explode.

As a pathetic engineer when I'm startled by a gang of 2 or more I immediately go for my hand grenade. Mainly because my rifle shoots bb's and the launcher takes about 17 minutes to shoulder and fire, but aaaaanyyway. 8 out of 10 times I see the animation for me pulling the pin and throwing and they kill me and... nothing. No grenade dropped, thrown or otherwise. It's like it never existed. That really pisses me off.

I went home on my lunch break to play and it kept telling me "unable to find any games" yet when I pulled open my lives friends list I had no less than 9 people playing online games of BC2 at the time. Such fucking stupidity. The day a battlefield game comes out that doesn't have server browser problems, or game connectivity problems, or crashing issues hell will freeze over.

True. I mean in BF2 and BF2142 you at least had the UAV commander abilities that designated where that last son of a bitch sniper was hiding. In this, not so much. So I guess it makes sense from that regard. But you should get like maybe 3 or 4 minutes to make a final push after the tickets hit 0 to try and salvage the game.

Edit: to the dude above me.

Pick whatever system you have more friends playing it on. If you have a lot on PC then buy PC, if you have more on 360 then get 360. It's the same game either way.

MW2 actually did that right, there's even a badge for killing someone who was "cooking" a grenade. They drop the live grenade when you kill them.

I really hope they change that. Nothing is more anticlimactic than to make one last desperate MCOM push, arm it, and then watch as our tickets count down to zero because some guy half-way across the map gets sniped. If the last MCOM station is armed with zero tickets left, the game should continue until it is disarmed or it is destroyed.

And to collapse them do you have to take out all walls or just the outside walls?

Inside walls on houses are not destructible. Inside walls on some office buildings are, but I'm not sure if they have any relation to the strength of the building.

Basically buildings have a certain amount of health. Once that building is out of health, it starts the building falling animation (which is always the same animation for each building). Locational damage seems less relevant to the destruction of a building, as you can clear an entire first floor of a building and it will often remain standing. Damaging lower floors might contribute more to reduction of building health, but that would require some testing to verify.

And on the night map, Nelson Bay - yeah, almost all the buildings are collapsible. The last two points are not.

So basically just blast the hell out of it. :P

    God I hate that.

Why can't it just stop after doing for a few seconds.. But noooo it's gotta go until the new map loads for fucks sakes.

Someone said earlier that they thought it was a real siren somewhere the first time they heard it. I felt exactly the same. I wasn't even irritated, I was just impressed with how good it sounded. Felt like I should duck and cover.

The "tank is going to explode soon" warning not only a) sounds very similar to my UPS but b) with headphone settings on it somehow sounds like its not coming from my headphones but from inside the room .

It hasn't annoyed me too much. I think it's more the psychology of it than the sound.
