I FINISHED MY MOTHERFUCKING THUNDERWOLF CAVALRY!!!

fully painted, based, etc. I'll now have a total of 6 mounted cavalry (canis +5 maxmini dudes) including Techmarine.

Pics will come in the next couple hours while I let the basing dry and do the dull-coating.

    This means for the oath:

    5 Thunderwolf Cavalry
    Iron Priest (convertable to cav-mount)
    Runepriest in Terminator Armor

Not bad i think, though, I didn't have a problem getting myself to paint.

One quick question, I used one of the Cathedral window covers for the Venerable dread, what color should I do the windows themselves? I'm thinking either red or light blue.

I think I'm so far, the only person to post a primed picture of my model at the right time, and then finish it by now, and it being an HQ or Troop. I believe.

I did 3 and a half of that tactical squad! And I did a Captain, a Librarian, and 2 Command squad members to make up for it.

I finished a terminator chaplain and painted the metal on 10 ork boyz. If I'm reading the calendar correctly, the boyz have been 'wip' for just over 3 months

Clearly, you painted everything but the arm ages ago.

On an unrelated note, shining spears are really boring to paint. Prime white, blue, lighter blue, lighter blue, lighter blue, done(basically).

Drink less caffeine. I went from shaking hands to steady hands by cutting out coke and drinking decaff tea. Also, put your elbows on the table (regardless of what your mother taught you!) and rest the heels of your palms together to kind of cup the miniature.

That's what did it for me at least.

I have relatively steady hands, considering I drink probably four-five cups(actual cups) of coffee a day.

No, just never liked the taste of either, really. But this is off-topic.

I'm actually working on basing my Librarian, going for an Ashworld.

Edit: It's the picking at them that really does it, I just say both, cause I do both.

I still don't really get the connection.
But my hands are not terribly steady. Bracing against the table works! Unless you live on a boat or something, I guess.

Would it be completely lame for me to paint my wraithlords in a harlequin fashion? They're the old metal ones, and I think they would look awesome with their heads in the diamond pattern like the harlequins have.

I didn't manage to take part in the first part of the competition, (to much work and afterwork activities this week.) But I managed to finish my ork bikers.. here's a group shot:

    and here are single shots.

I tried some coarse highlighting on the skull that is tied to the handlebars on one bike, but I'm not sure if it worked as intended.
(And I need to figure out how to take better pictures.)

Those look phenomenal. The only thing wrong with your pictures is the white balance, which is easily fixed up in photoshop or the like.

WiP of my Venerable Dread,, well, really, just his claw there, his body is mostly done, just a quick touch-up in like 2 places then a wash on the body cover, and that's done.

I was testing out a way to make quick table quality orks that I could later paint better with little problem. I primed white and just diluted a few base colours a LOT and threw it on the Ork. Meanwhile I did an extra layer on one of the browns but you get the idea. This took me less then 10 minutes.

Is this acceptable to put on a table while I paint the usual 1 figure per week?

    Imagem0017.jpg

@Verflutche: As Dayspring said, those windows seem rather odd, I'd go with red.
