People are so much better than me. I keep getting murdered by 40MM grenades and knives.
Oh haha, I get it! Haha, you said they were better than you, then you said they killed you with those weapons. You forgot the M60, though, you kidder you.
>: (
There was one guy running around on PA West Coast last night who was using absolutely nothing but the nades on his XM8 and the knife. I never saw him actually fire a single AR round. But at the same time he did manage to kill me probably a dozen times compared to the five or so where I got him. I haven't had anybody kill me over and over again with the M60. Yet.
I'm a 360 player, new to the franchise. I made a switch to Medic, and it has no equipment. No paddes or anything to choose. Do I have to unlock these? That's kinda ridiculous.
I love spotting people.
You do have to unlock paddles and medkits. I think it's kinda silly too. Paddles I don't mind, but I really wish each class started with its first unlock.
So, I realized what was better than sneaking up on a sniper nest and stabbing everyone.
Sneaking up on a sniper nest and shock paddling each and every one.
I just drop mortars on inattentive snipers.
Particularly the ones who think they're being sneaky bastards in building attics. "Ooh, missing a roof? Don't worry, that next mortar will solve all your problems!"

Thank christ for that.
I can't deal with any more old people who know nothing about computers who instruct me to save data on their twisted, black and charred hard drives.
This is what is happening in my life this morning.
I'm sure everyone's going back to multiplayer asap if the server's are back up, but if anyone needs some help collecting all 30 guns in the campaign. There's a Battlefield: Bad Company 2 weapons guide here with videos showing them. See ya on the battlefield!

I wish so hard that you could revive enemy players. Then by the time they get back up, shock them again, but this time to death. It could give me negative points and I would still do it to people who spam the GL. Also, it would be great fun to get a tank lined up, revive an enemy, and then immediately run them over.
But in a legitimate request, I want the UAV to not spin out and explode just because you leave the console. I waited for one the other day, hopped on as soon as it was ready, hit E again by accident, and was rewarded with watching a grounded UAV burst into flame and explode. Awesome.
And can UAVs be repaired by engineers or is their damage permanent? As fragile as they are, it would be nice to be able to find a friendly engineer and get him to fix up your little buddy so you can continue to drop missiles on fools. I also wish the UAVs were slightly more durable so I could justify flying one into a room to machine gun enemies at point blank range. Also, chop them to pieces.
I'm hoping that pumping an entire clip into someone and having them kill me with one bullet or knife swing becomes more entertaining.
If you're going on full auto, you'll miss about 80% of the time. Burst fire is the key.
Tap it like you're firing each bullet individually. LMGs become sniper rifles.

Yeah aim is tricky to get perfectly right at first. If you're spraying, chances are you will barely hit your enemy at all, while he will be able to burst a couple of bullets in your face to kill you, which is probably what you are experiencing
I'll be in on multiplayer tomorrow. I'm just finishing solo.

Man. Get me the fuck out of South America already. I have a pretty long patience span with games but this takes the piss. And after CoDMW1&2 (the acronyms are on the move), in-game events just aren't the fucking same.
Large-scale level design is beyond weak and just plain boring, most gunplay is boring, graphics are unremarakable apart from some nice main character models and shading... And I'm not a fan of the stuttery 'footfall' cam, because damn, it just makes it look my computer is choking.
I swear, my biggest pet peeve about shooters ever is the whole 'oh hey all infantry and helicopters will automatically shoot at you and only you, ever'. Thus rendering entire avenues of tactics null and void. Lame as fuck, dude. And when playing on hard it just feels goddamn cheap. CoD was another offender.
edit: and indoor/in cover sound engineering is mega-wrong.
edit 2: and balaclavas should not survive against headshots I do not care what the difficulty setting is.

So, fucking sweet. I bought the game today, and my replacement GPU came in as well. Awesome! Except those chucklefucks mixed it up and sent me a goddamned 8400GS.
Are. You. Shitting. Me.
Needless to say, I am not very happy right now. This must be a giant conspiracy to keep me from playing this game. This close to hunkering down and ordering a 5770 or something.

But I think I will enjoy the multiplayer. Yes.
Someone sounds a little mad that he didn't get a sniper rifle earlier.
They aren't that fun in single player. Not because of the gun, but because of the way combat works.
When you're always the bullet magnet and bullets disrupt your aim, sniping ceases to really amuse. So I rock a half-scope and an SMG, but it's not the same...

Or I guess in your case the auto-shotgun. Really good for them folks what can't aim. 8-)

SHUT UP I'M WORKING ON IT AS HARD AS I CAN after I get some food and probably drink some things and record the first set.
People on vent?
I see through the lies!
Oh well I'll probably be with you, planning on buying the game off Steam tonight.
I'm hoping that pumping an entire clip into someone and having them kill me with one bullet or knife swing becomes more entertaining.
Which can lead to some really aggravating scenarios.
Edit: hmm only on that server are my unlocks gone.

Setting everthing on fire in killing floor while he was trying to be a sniper was, after all, the most fun ever.
I can't believe they managed to make gunplay and urban fighting awesome in a Battlefield game.
Can't wait to play some more tomorrow!
Remember, short controlled bursts. /Hicks
Making mission critical equipment an unlock was fairly silly... however the game makes up for it in many, many other ways.

Thanks for helping me earlier, was really appreciated.
Man, this game is fun.
